~ The C.O. giving Candace and her troops his order. |
Candace's Commanding Officer is a supporting antagonist of Phineas and Ferb special "Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars". He is an unnamed Imperial Officer who served as the master to Stormtrooper Candace, Stormtrooper Buford and Stormtrooper Baljeet in the Galactic Empire.
He was voiced by Simon Pegg, who also played The Editor in Doctor Who, William Burke in Burke & Hare, Dengar in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Unkar Plutt in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, SkekSil in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, King James in America: The Motion Picture and The Entity in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning.
Role[]
The C.O. first appeared when Candace, Buford and Baljeet arrive to help the other Stormtroopers capture Princess Leia and retrieve the stolen Death Star plans. However, rather than letting them do the job, he instead assigns them a menial task: getting some socks for Darth Vader, much to their chagrin. He proves to be incompetent in general; this was such when Candace spots Princess Leia trying to deliver a message with the help from two droids (R2-D2 and C-3P0) and tried to inform the C.O. about this. However, he totally disregards it since he is more concerned about Candace getting some socks rather than capturing Princess Leia and the droids, which led to the latter's escape. This was further shown when in Tatooine when Candace reported that she followed the droids' tracks, but the C.O. completely ignores this again by telling her posse to go to Mos Eisley to buy some socks.
When Candace finally gives the C.O. what he presumes are the socks, he claims there is no room left on the ship and points her in the direction of the next bus pod, much to Candace, Buford and Baljeet's disgust. At that point, the kids start to grow frustrated over their commanding officer trying to make up excuses to prevent them from doing their job as Stormtroopers. It is later revealed that Candace accidentally gave him the bag containing Buford's hoagie and that the C.O. never even bothered to look inside the bag before he left. As a result, the C.O. was given the Force choke by a furious Vader, who then threw away the hoagie (which is later found and retrieved by Darthenshmirtz).
Trivia[]
- Ironically, Simon Pegg, the C.O.'s voice actor, had previously voiced Dengar in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and later went to play Unkar Plutt in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.
