The Boat Ear Mask (舟耳仮面 Fune Mimi Kamen, 11) is a Black Cross Army Masked Monster and an antagonist of Himitsu Sentai Gorenger.
He is voiced by Toku Nishio who previously voiced a Gold Mask, a Black Hair Mask, a Wire Mask, and a Pirate Mask.
History[]
Boat Ear Mask's mission, tasked to him by his masterBlack Cross Fuhrer involves the pursuit and capture of a scientist set up to be protected by the Gorenger who has learned the secrets of "Minus Energy", which can be used to make a supremely-powerful bomb for killing humanity. The Gorenger try to protect him by leaving him with Asuka, but Boat Ear Mask and several Zolders trick him into a car, where they attack and wound Midorenger while hurting the scientist before taking him hostage.
Using a mind machine, Boat Ear Mask tries to draw out the secrets within but Kaijo and Peggy save him with the Masked Monster in pursuit. Ultimately Aorenger and Kirenger show up to save their protected target with Variblune, allowing the team to take on the Masked Monster. Asuka returns with blades attached to his Midoranger to slice off Boat Ear Mask's massive ears in order to prevent him from using his Ear Hell, but he merely reattaches them to his staff. But before he can use it in combat, he is destroyed by Gorenger Storm.
Personality[]
His personality was nothing different than personalities of other Black Cross monsters, being highly cunning, arrogant, deceptive and determined to kidnap the scientist and use his equipment for Black Cross Army's evil schemes, while also showing complete and undeniable loyalty to Black Cross Fuhrer.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Superhuman Strength: While not as powerful as his sucessors, he is still far more powerful than ordinary humans, beingable to hold his own against the Gorengers and fought quite well.
- Superhuman Speed: He was also quite fast, being able to dodge and avoid the Gorengers's attacks and move on the high speeds.
- Skilled Fighter: He is also a capable combatant, being able to hold his own against the Gorengers and fought pretty well.
- Superhuman Stamina: He also possesses supernatural stamina, being able to hold his own in the battle with Gorengers for multiple hours.
- Superhuman Agility: He is also extremely agile and was able to use hos speed and agility in the battle with the Gorengers.
Arsenal[]
- Paddle-like Staff: Boat Ear Mask's main weapon is a paddle-like staff capable of being used for long-distance attacks.
- Ear Hell: However he also has s secret weapon called "Ear Hell" where two long ribbons branch out from his massive ears to strangle a victim.
- Poisoned Darts: Boat Ear Mask can also spit out poison darts from his mouth. *Axe Weapon: Further if his huge ears are chopped off, he can reform them on his staff into an axe-like weapon.
