Biography[]
Background[]
Anders Muler was the CEO of Nanite Capital, and was good friends with his employee, Matt Turner who worked there as a financier. In secret, however, he was embezzling money from the company, and had his other collegues killed by planting bombs on their cars and blowing them up throughout the city. He then planned on framing Matt Turner for the attacks so he can cover up his scheme of embezzling money and eventually get away with his crimes. In doing so, he decided to plant a bomb on Matt's SUV so that should he try to get out of the vehicle, it would explode and take Matt with it.
Retribution[]
When Matt Turner was doing his warm up boxing, he was then called by Anders Muller, who ordered him to give a call to Karl, at STB Capital on his way in since he was notified of an email he got from him earlier. Anders then praises Matt for being a credit to capitalism, and tells him to say hello to Heather from him before insulting at him as he hung up.
While Matt was driving his two children, Emily and Zach Turner, to school, he received a call from a mysterious person, who unbeknownst to Matt and his children, was Anders himself, and appreciated that he liked his car. Believing it to be Sylvian, the mysterious caller revealed that he wasn't, and Matt tried to turn down the call. Anders revealed that he wouldn't, and appreciated the car's leather seats before informing him that there is a bomb underneath his car and told him that it was armed the moment he sat down earlier. However, Matt angrily hangs up the phone. Anders continued to try to call Matt, but continuously hung up the phone. Angered, Anders threatened Matt that he'll blow up the car if he hung up before ordering him to continue driving.
He then told Matt that the bomb was underneath a pressure plate, and that if he got out of the car, it would detonate. He also revealed that he was holding a remote switch, meaning that if he called the police for help, along with trying to evade him and go somewhere else, he will blow up the car and take Matt and his children with it. The mysterious caller then told him to follow his instructions, and if he does, he could get out in one piece. As Matt continued to drive, the caller then ordered him to have the children's phones confiscated, threatening to kill them along with Matt if he didn't comply. While the mysterious caller continued threatening them, they were followed by a motorcyclist believing it to be someone chasing them.
Counting ten seconds, Matt decided to slam his brakes and hit the biker, only to find out that the rider was Zach's girlfriend, who chastises them that they nearly killed her. Zach tries to leave but Matt tells him to not do so since it will explode, just as the bomber repeated the phrase that he'll blow up the car if the phones aren't confiscated. This results in Matt confiscating Zach and Emily's phones and throwing them onto the pavement. The mysterious caller then ordered Matt to drive to a specific location where he is forced to watch Sylvian, the latter's client, also receive a bomb threat.
Despite Matt ordering him and his girlfriend to stay in the car since it also has a bomb, this results in his panicked girlfriend escaping, activating the bomb and killing Sylvian with it. The caller then told Matt that she should've followed the rules, and Matt angrily told the caller that he killed three people, and the bomber revealed he wanted to have Matt witness it so he wouldn't have doubts about his sincerity. The mysterious person then ordered Matt to call his wife Heather to retrieve his money at a safety box at an AIG bank in Tiergarten.
Although Heather isn't there, he tries calling Christina so she can forward it to Heather, who reveals that she's with a divorce attorney at Lichtenberg. The bomber then gave Matt two minutes to find Heather or else he'll blow up the car before telling him to go to the AIG bank since he also has a safety box with his name there, even having him to call the people there so he can speak to them.
Personality[]
Despite showing himself to be just an affable corporate executive, Anders is a very sadistic and ruthless corrupt official. He has no problem targeting Matt Turner's kids, and even puts some of his other employees in panic before killing them with carbombs. He even threatens to kill hundreds of protestors if Matt doesn't do what he says. When he reveals himself to be the mysterious bomber to Matt, Anders seems to be quite proud of himself, even saying that Matt's wife should've divorced him sooner. He is also very intelligent, having the skills to construct several successful car bombs, being able to evade the police, and being able to manipulate many events for his own intentions.
