Ame-chan, known by her streamer identity as OMGKawaiiAngel, or simply KAngel, is the titular main protagonist of NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD and its manga adaptation NEEDY GIRL OVERSOSE: Run With My Sick.
She is the lover of P-Chan, who moves with her at her own apartment. While an aspiring streamer, with her goal of becoming the world's #1 "Internet Angel", KAngel is revealed to be a morally ambiguous character in two of the game's 27 endings.
Due to her general mental instability, as well as KAngel's motivation of killing P-Chan at the end due to cheating on her and her creation of an apocalypse cult comprising of her followers makes her the main antagonist of Nerdy Girl Overload and Welcome To My Religion routes, respectively.
Appearance[]
Ame-chan[]
Ame-chan is a little, fair-skinned young woman with medium-length black hair that she wears in sloppy twin tails tied with red hair ties. She has thin black eyes, but her bangs cover her left eye. She is dressed in a black pinafore with golden buttons and accents, a black ribbon, a golden x-shaped hair clip, a red blouse with puffy white wing-like sleeves, and plain black knee-high socks and generic black shoes. In keeping with her attire, she has also painted her nails crimson and black. Official figurines of her design depict her wearing ankle boots with red shoelaces, despite the fact that her sprite is dressed in socks due to the indoor environment.

Unlike her real self, she seems far more vivacious and "girly-looking" as KAngel than she does in real life. Her platinum blonde hair has a purple gradient on her bangs, and her baby blue eyes, which appear much nicer, are visible. She has long hair that she still arranges into twin tails, but she goes for a more quirky blue-pink color scheme with her twin tails swirling around one another to resemble DNA.
Her outfit consists of a holographic seifuku, a holographic microskirt, holographic shoes, and holographic ankle straps. She is also wearing a number of bows that are brilliant blue, purple, pink, and red in hue, as well as little heart-shaped accessories that are the same hues and are running up her left thigh. In addition, she has painted her nails hot pink, pink, yellow, and blue.

Ame-chan[]
Ame-Chan is an honest, sensitive, lonely, and insecure girl. She is a very internet-dependent girl who has a serious obsession with P-Chan. Despite being an adult otaku herself, she exhibits a strong dislike for adults and the geeky habits of her audience. She also regularly damages herself throughout the game if she is under a lot of stress, and she may use powerful narcotics if she is experiencing mental gloom. She may also develop an addiction to sexual activity and tenderness in other ways.

Unlike her real self, Ame's streamer alter ego KAngel adopts a manic pixie dream girl character and acts like a really nice and loving person. Additionally, she has a reputation for flirting with her admirers—more especially, otaku fans. In contrast to her off-stream persona, she is quite brave and speaks to both supporters and detractors in a condescending (but kind) manner. Unless Ame is under a lot of stress, KAngel's façade seldom fractures, although occasionally, Ame's true self may come through to a lesser degree, as shown during the Internet Overdose route.

History[]
According to the backstory Ame can tell P-Chan in certain conditions, she was born into a low-income family at an early age. Even though she saw her parents fighting frequently in front of her and finally getting divorced, the conflicts continued. Prior to Ame running away from home and moving between any friend groups that would let her to stay, her mother had almost pushed her into prostitution in order to get money. She was neglected by her parents, and they don't care about what she told them. She has thus always aspired to be well-known so that people would visit her.
However, it may be implied that her parents are still living together and may have remarried or gotten back together in the future given that Ame and P-Chan visit them at their home halfway through the game and that Ame says she may return to live with them if her streaming career doesn't work out.
Ame also experienced bullying in elementary school, when she was made fun of by at least one kid for being attractive. As a result, she became a recluse and missed class. In the Japanese version of the game, Ame declares that she is a "中卒", or "Middle School Graduate", meaning that she dropped out of high school.
Ame and P-Chan lived together prior to Ame becoming a streamer. Ame-chan carefully planned and conjectured about her streaming life in an attempt to garner attention. P-Chan started broadcasting after setting up her streaming gear. In order to obtain one million members, she and P-Chan were given a month.
Welcome To My Religion[]
Once the player uses five Magic Papers, the stream "Conspiracy Theories 5: The Truth" shows up, following "Conspiracy Theories S: The Light", revealing KAngel in angelic robes addressing to her viewers on her stream.
Following the first five Conspiracy streams that leads to KAngel's increasing irrationality, KAngel, in the stream titled "The Light", comes to the conclusion that she had discovered a deeper, unknown truth about the world. She then texted P-Chan on JINE to say that she had finally realized something important, that she had remembered her initial goal, that she had met God, and that she had to save the internet herself. Then, in a distinctive sixth stream, she informs her audience that overpopulation is the primary cause of all disputes, including those that occur online. She creates an apocalypse cult and calls on her followers to help her in implementing her plan by wiping out 90% of the human population on Earth, saying that peace would be possible if the world's population were reduced to 10% of its current number, with the implication of committing genocide against 90% of the human populace.
Nerdy Girl Overload[]
Once the player reaches Day 30 with 500,000+ followers and <80 affection.
Ame believes that if they stay together, everything will work out, so she emails P-Chan on JINE to say that she's going to keep streaming. She then informs them about the MUU agency, claiming that she was offered a position as KAngel, which would let her to reside in a penthouse only for streamers who have signed with the agency. She tells P-Chan, nevertheless, that they are unable to live with her since the agency prohibits anybody who is not employed by the agency from occupying the penthouse. She apologizes, says she wants to follow her aspirations, and asks P-Chan to confirm that they love her and whether they would continue to support her. When P-Chan promises they will, Ame cheerfully replies that she will make them proud. When P-Chan tells Ame that they love her, Ame responds that they love her too and that nothing can break their bond.
After an indeterminate number of days has passed, Ame joyfully shares on her private Twitter account about her new streamer lover, expressing how she can relate to him as a fellow streamer and how she likes seeing his followers donate money to him so he can pay for their dates. She fantasizes about getting married to him if he becomes more well-known.
Ame, however, observes that her partner is not behaving normally and talks about how he is ignoring her and unable to call or show her affection. After a long period of quiet, he is eventually able to see her face-to-face and speak with her, but all he does is use her for sex before fainting right away. After hearing reports online that he was in love with another streaming girl, Ame talks about how she didn't believe them at first but has since begun to have doubts about her partner. She talks about P-Chan in a panic, not knowing what to do, and claims that they would never do this to her.
Ame then publicly expresses her dissatisfaction with her lover by writing an angry message on her public Twitter account regarding the current circumstance. As she develops into a full-fledged misandrist, Ame declares her hatred for men, threatens to plan on murdering him for cheating on her, and ends her messages by saying that all men are deserving of death.
Trivia[]
- Ame's Japanese name means "candy" (飴), where her Tweeter handle is also named as raincandy_U. In the game, though, she would write P-Chan about her name, stating that it truly meant "rain" (雧), reflecting Ame's gloomy personality.
