La Isla: El Reality[]
2013[]
Ricardo was part of the Fameless tribe, where he proved to be the leader of the tribe. Later in the tribe switch he moved to the Sol tribe, where he remained until the merge. Even though he was one of the strongest participants of the season, Ricardo was eliminated in Cycle 14 when he lost the Deathly Duel against Tania Rincón. Although he did not win the season, Ricardo won prizes such as 2 ATVs and 100,000 Mexican pesos, won in the second and third Reward Challenge.

La Revancha[]
Ricardo was assigned to the Zafiro tribe, where being one of the strongest members of the competition and staying in the majority, he managed to survive the first few cycles. Ricardo was chosen to represent his tribe in the Captains' Challenge, where he lost and caused the disappearance of the Zafiro tribe. He was later chosen to join the new Oro tribe, where he remained until the merge.
In the merge, Ricardo managed to survive the trials by being immune in both. However, in the Deathly Duels stage, Ricardo was nominated to the first duel against the great competitor of Julio César Frías, even so he was able to defeat him and move on to the next cycle, where he was nominated again and this time he faced Jorge Luis Vázquez, against whom Ricardo was finally defeated and eliminated from the competition.
