A power core was a device that provided energy to a starship^[2] and to droids such as astromech droids.^[1] The Millennium Falcon was powered by a Quadex power core.^[3] A stock YT-2400 light freighter had a power core that had nearly twice the energy output of other starship models in the YT-series.^[2]
