A pirate outpost was used by the Ohnaka Gang, a faction of Weequay pirates led by Hondo Ohnaka, on the planet Florrum during the Clone Wars.
History[]
Hondo Ohnaka founded this outpost after escaping from Porla the Hutt on Boonta with several other servants of Porla.[1] Ohnaka and his pirate gang now used the outpost as a base of operations.
The base had a landing area for small transports like Flarestar-class attack shuttles. It had a market place for outsiders, an area for holding cells with at least one isolation cell equipped with a containment field, a main dining hall/bar, and a storage area for both swoop bikes and tanks.[2][3]
The base was filled with all sorts of listening devices and traps, to make sure no prisoners escaped the building.[1] The outpost was powered by a long power line of power couplings, which were destroyed when Jar Jar Binks accidentally rammed one of the pirates tanks into another tank, which then hit the power line and shut down the power grid to the pirate base.[3]
The base was later seized, demolished and discarded by General Grievous and his forces as retribution for Hondo's ransom of Count Dooku,[4] however Hondo and his gang would continue to use it in the future.[5]
