The grappling boa was a long and flexible weapon made of triple rows of metallic scales.[1] Also called a scaled boa, it was both a stylish decoration[2] and a practical weapon. It was named after a variety of snake,[3] and could be used like a whip or lariat in hand-to-hand combat. When not used in combat, the boa could be draped around the shoulders as a fashionable scarf.[1] During the Clone Wars, the Theelin bounty hunter Latts Razzi wielded triple rows of a grappling boa as her preferred weapon.[3]
