Dolphish (Fallout 76)

Dolphish^[1] are creatures found in Appalachia.

Background[]

Dolphish are a species of mutated dolphins.^[1] The remains of these creatures can be found by Vault Dwellers. Some dolphish corpses will explode if struck.

In addition, several large whale skeletons are found throughout the region, but it is unclear if they belong to the same species.

Locations[]

• On a boat, in the river between Point Pleasant and Black Mountain Ordnance Works.
• On the shore by the access bridge behind Camden Park.
• Two (Marty and Mary) dead in the dolphish exhibit area inside Aquarium of the Atlantic.
• Two live dolphish in the open ocean near Aquarium of the Atlantic.
• Two live dolphish inside a large tank in the Aquarium, through a doorway on the left inside the whale exhibit.

Notes[]

• In game files, one render of the creature is named "dolphin", and the texture is labeled "whale". It was first canonically named in-game with the addition of the mounted dolphish head to Fallout 76 in The Big Score.
• Being in proximity to a dolphish corpse as it explodes will cause a heavy stagger.
• Dolphish are technically static world objects and not NPCs.
