Nazi Germany, also known as the Third Reich, is a totalitarian state in Europe led by the dictator Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. It is the main antagonist faction in the World War II Call of Duty games. They are part of the Axis Powers military alliance.
Overview[]
In the first half of the Call of Duty series, the German military is the first and only enemy encountered. Exceptions include Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, where the player sometimes encounters Italian and Vichy French units, and Call of Duty: World at War, where the Imperial Japanese Army and the Imperial Japanese Navy are the enemies in the American campaign.
German enemies can be simple infantry troops on foot or with tanks (Heer) or airborne troops with aircrafts (Luftwaffe) in certain stages. Waffen-SS soldiers and Gestapo officers can be encountered in other levels.
In most of multiplayer modes of World War II games, the German Army is playable against the main Allied Powers (USA, Great-Britain, Soviet Union, France, ...).

Campaign[]
Nazi Germany is the main enemy of the Soviet Campaign, where they first invade the Soviet Union in the Operation Barbarossa in the level Vendetta during the Battle of Stalingrad. The next levels are located in Nazi Germany after the Soviet response until their victory during the Battle of Berlin.
The main German troops represented are the Wehrmacht, the Luftwaffe and the Waffen-SS.
Multiplayer[]
The Wehrmacht is playable in the eastern front maps, and most of them set in Nazi Germany.
Nazi Zombies[]
The maps Nacht der Untoten, Verrückt and Der Riese are located in Nazi Germany. The zombies of these maps were SS Honor Guards using black SS uniforms.
Most of the main characters, including Edward Richtofen, Ludvig Maxis and Samantha Maxis are Germans and some of them worked for the Group 935, loyal to the nazi regime.
Call of Duty: Black Ops[]
Campaign[]
Last remnants of the Nazis after World War II serve as a backdrop and focal point in the campaign for the development of Nova 6, a chemical weapon intended to kill soldiers within a minute and cause their bodies to rot. They only appear in "Project Nova", where a unit of the Red Army commanded by Nikita Dragovich attacks one of their remaining camps on October 29, 1945. The point of this mission was to take the weapon and capture its creator to bring them back to Russia.

On the map Moon, the Griffin Station is a nazi German research facility located on the moon.
The map Call of the Dead was a facility used by the Group 935.

The level Demon Within set during a simulation of the Battle of the Bulge, precisely during the Siege of Bastogne. The Player fights alongside the 101st Airborne Division against the German Army, he then has to fight a Tiger II tank. Sd. Kfz. 251s can be seen be used by German soldiers and mounted MG42s can be also used by the player.

The map Infection is located in Bastogne, Tiger II tanks and Sd. Kfz. 251s can be seen in different places of the map.
Zombies[]
The maps The Giant takes place in Nazi Germany and Der Eisendrache in annexed Austria, and the zombies were German soldiers.
Several elements of previous zombie maps located in Nazi Germany can be seen in the map Revelations.
The remastered versions of the maps Nacht der Untoten and Verrückt are located in Nazi Germany. The zombies of these maps were SS Honor Guards using black SS uniforms.
On the remastered version of map Moon, the Griffin Station is a nazi German research facility located on the moon.
The Ultimis version of Edward Richtofen was a Major General in the Wehrmacht.

Nazi Germany is the main enemy of the campaign, set during the Battle of Normandy until the American invasion of Germany. Most of the levels are located in Nazi Germany.
The main German factions represented are the Wehrmacht, the Luftwaffe, the Waffen-SS and the Gestapo.

Some multiplayers maps are located in Nazi Germany. The German forces are represented by the Axis Powers faction alongside the Royal Italian Army.
Nazi Zombies[]
The Ahnenerbe and the nazi undead forces risen from the experiments made by Peter Straub become the main enemies for the majority of the maps.

After the fall of Berlin, Hermann Freisinger attempts to rebuild the Nazi forces as the Fourth Reich under Project Phoenix. As a result, Task Force Vanguard is formed to stop him.
