Dream big slim line card

Switching gears from all things Christmas just briefly to play around with the new Spellbinders small die of the month.  Now, I am not a cat person at all but I do have friends that are.  It's just something I have to overlook.  Lol!  But I thought making a big window would work perfectly with the Dream Big die and it fits perfectly on a slim line card.

I kept it pretty simple so it came together quickly.  I made a sunset using Distress Oxide Inks.  I used the same size as my base would be so that I knew how much to ink up.

I die cut the tree branch twice and trimmed off some so that the tree peaked in between two window panes.  I added some stars using a white gel pen and made that top star into a shooting ones by adding some motion lines.

A black cat and a touch of gold on the word dies and my card is all done!

Dare we dream big for 2021?

Skiing to the North Pole

Making this card makes me really want to go skiing despite how terrible I am at it and constantly being terrified that something will happen to my boys.  The second time we went, my son accidentally got onto the lift for the blue slope and instead of getting help, he looked down the slope, thought to himself "I'm gonna die" and went down the slope.  He made it - lots of falls but nothing broken.

Ah, good times.  :)

Snowman Christmas Greetings

Hi, just popping in to share a card I made with this month's Spellbinders small die kit of the month: Frankie Goes to the North Pole.

I'm so impressed with myself that I played with this set before the month was over!  I'm usually about a month or two behind - but I think this set will still be cute anytime in the winter.

I did a bit of sponging in the sky and added a darker green with a Copic to the start of the pine branches.  The Christmas Greetings is from a Verve Christmas set.

Scripture cards for the fall

I hope you're not tired of seeing fall cards from me!  I've been on a roll with them and added to my stash of Scripture cards.  I was running low on them again.

All these leave dies are from Spellbinders but I think the one below is a very very old one.  I don't even own that die - it was an extra from a crafting session with a friend a couple of years ago.  I hope Covid is over soon so we can resume our craft play dates.

The last one I added silver mirror card stock and on all of these, some leaves were covered with Crystal Effect.  It's hard to see on the pics but it's a nice extra oomph in real life.

More fall cards but with a deer now

This mini woodland scene is an old die - I don't even know the name of the manufacturer - but I found it was perfect for my fall mood.  Both deers are from a Memory Box set and the Bible verses are also older stamps by Divinity Designs.  I love being able to go back and use older supplies!

The Grateful word die and loose leaves are from this month's Spellbinders Small die monthly club kit.

For the doe, I added some white dots and the bottom portion of her tail with a Uniball Signo white gel pen.

Fall themed cards using paint chips

You can't really tell from my current home but our previous home was quite the crayon box.  Every room was painted a different color I think.  I collected paint chips and kept them in case we needed more of the colors for touch up later.  We moved and I still kept them and am so glad I did.  I used them to cut up all the leaves from this month's Spellbinders Small die club kit.

I typed up and printed out the additional sentiment to add to the word dies included in the set.  I really enjoyed playing with this set.

I found it went a lot smoother when I just die cut all the dies at one time on every color paint chip plus white and kraft card stock.  I did not know how I was going to use them but it gave me a lot of pieces to work with without having to go back and die cut.

Sending Smiles

I've been having a lot of fun with my new floral dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Today I combined them with the lovely frame from Spellbinders small die set from July 2020 and finished with the always lovely word die by Quietfire Design.

For the stamens of the flower, I used a chunky black glitter - a generous dollop of glue and then pour the black glitter over it and leave until dry.

Thank you card

Just popping in to share a third card that uses the same layout as my cards yesterday.  Instead of using white for the delicate dies, I went with black.  Wow!  What a difference that made.  It reminded me of stain glass so I used Copic to color the pieces and pop them back into the "window" portion of the dies.

I used a black die cut of thank you to finish the card.  For some reason, this reminds me of a fairy tale so "Be Brave" or "Be Yourself" would look really nice too, don't you think?  All the words dies by Suzanne would work - check all them out here on the Elizabeth Craft Designs store.

Love that you're my friend

From the Spellbinder's January small die set I made this card for a friend by trimming off the flowers from the big die.  The small galvanized buckets are dies by Rubbernecker - they were the perfect size to fit the little  bouquets in.

What's Up with all these bunny cards?

Corona-crafting - I'm catching up on my Spellbinder small club kits.  I'm actually posting this March die set in March!  Lol!

The first is a straight forward usage of the set - so cute!

For the second card, I combined other spring items to the card.  The Easter eggs and grass are by Divinity Designs and the woven basket die is by Gina Marie Designs.  I couldn't decide if I wanted the bunnies inside the basket or outside so I did both.

The third card features the bunny cut out of light brown felt.  For the eyes, I glued a piece of black cardstock behind the felt instead of trying to color teeny tiny pieces of felt.

Hope you are finding the positives in these unknown and unsettling times of the COVID-19 virus.

Spellbinders February small die set

I seem to be running a month late with posting my cards of the Spellbinders small club set.  I anxiously await for them to arrive in the mail and then life happens or I get stumped in my craft room.  Did find time to play some though!

Another round of the LOVE cards

Hello, here are some more cards I made with the same die set from this month's Spellbinders small die set.  I made this rainbow background and die cut the LOVE out of it.  The little dog from Mama Elephant's Playful Pup stamp set.

I used the LOVE die cuts and put it onto my second card:

My last card I made into a yellow and green baby card - great colors to have in case you don't know if you need a baby boy or baby girl card.  The "Baby" is a die available at Quietfire Design and Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Spellbinders January Small die set

Hi, there!  Popping in real quick to share with you a few cards I made with the Spellbinders January Small die set.  I die cut them several times to just play around with.  Since I didn't have many plain sentiments to finish the card, I typed up several on Word and printed them out on cardstock.

I really liked how this second one turned out - it was relaxing just to take my Zig clean color brush markers and draw in the leaves and flowers.

For this last one, the LOVE was covered with Dragon Berry Modern Gilding Powder.  Love the look!
