Magnet Pikmin are a species of Pikmin appearing in Pikmin Evolution, where they, alongside Swamp Pikmin, are one of two new types introduced in the House of Gloom DLC. They are the closest in body shape to a standard Pikmin but have a unique color palette, with the left side being red and the right side being blue, divided precisely down the middle. Their leaves glow a cyan color and radiate strange signals, indicating their strange properties. Magnet Pikmin, as the name suggests, are magnetic, meaning they have weak power over magnetism and likewise are immune to magnetism itself. Magnet Pikmin have quite a unique throw arc; instead of being tossed in an arc, they are tossed straight forward like a dart, which has benefits and drawbacks. Magnet Pikmin are the worst at dealing with aerial enemies since they need to be in their direction for the Magnet Pikmin to attack, but on the plus side, Magnet Pikmin are especially effective at targeting objects a far distance away. Magnet Pikmin also can manipulate heavy metal objects, as when a group of them go near a metal object, they will radiate magnetic waves to attract the object to them, allowing them to carry heavy pieces of metal refuse without lifting a finger. The Magnet Pikmin's most unique ability is their ability to walk on walls, indicated by their feet glowing cyan, allowing them to attack wall-bound enemies and collect wall-bound refuse, which, combined with their 2x strength multiplier, makes them quite a powerful Pikmin in combat. They do have a crippling weakness, that being electricity, as no matter how powerful the source is, Magnet Pikmin touching electricity will cause them to short out and immediately die. Oddities aside, the Magnet Pikmin can prove to be a valuable asset in the right hands.
