Saber Swipes, titled Saber Slashes on the Mini-Game Stadium roulette, is a Duel minigame in Mario Party 2.

Overview[edit]

Saber Swipes is set in Pirate Land. Both players compete in it to input a sequence of buttons during a swordfight. The player the inputs every button first wins, though if both end at the same time or neither inputs every button on time, it is a draw.

      This is a fencing duel! Press the A Button, B Button and Z Button Buttons in the order shown on the screen. The first player to press them in order is the victor! If you mistake the order, you must start over. Swipe surely but swiftly!

        (Romanization: Ken o tsukatta kettō desu. A, B, Z no botan o, gamen ni deta junban ni oshite itte kudasai. Saki ni zenbu oshita hito no kachi ni narimasu. Junban o machigaeru to yarinaoshi ni narunode, chūi shite kudasai.)
        (Translation: It's a duel using swords. Press the A Button, B Button and Z Button buttons in the order they appear on the screen. The first person to press all of them wins. If you press them in the wrong order, you will have to start over, so be careful.)

        Un duel au sabre! Appuyez sur A Button, B Button et Z Button dans l'ordre affiché à l'écran. Le premier à appuyer dans l'ordre sera vainqueur! En vous trompant d'ordre, vous devrez recommencer. Lentement mais sûrement!
        (Translation: A saber duel! Press A Button, B Button and Z Button in the order displayed on the screen. The first to press in order will be the winner! If you get the order wrong, you will have to start again. Slowly but surely!)

        Willkommen zum Säbelgefecht! Drückt den A Button- und B Button-Knopf sowie den Z Button-Trigger in der angezeigten Reihenfolge. Der Spieler, der die Kombination am schnellsten eingibt, gewinnt! Bei einer Falscheingabe müsst ihr wieder von vorn beginnen! En garde!!!
        (Translation: Welcome to the Saber Fight! Press the A Button and B Button buttons as well as the Z Button trigger in the order shown. The player who makes the combination the fastest wins! If you make an incorrect entry, you have to start again from the beginning! En garde!!!)

        Duello tagliente! Premi A Button, B Button e Z Button nell'ordine indicato sullo schermo. Il primo giocatore che preme nell'ordine giusto vince, chi sbaglia ordine deve ricominciare. Colpi sicuri e precisi!
        (Translation: A sharp duel! Press A Button, B Button and Z Button in the order indicated on the screen. The first player to press in the right order wins, but whoever gets the wrong order has to start again. Hit safely and precisely!)

        ¡Éste es un duelo de esgrima! Pulsa los Botones A Button, B Button y Z Button en el orden mostrado en pantalla. ¡El primer jugador en lograrlo será el vencedor! Si equivocas el orden, debes comenzar de nuevo. ¡Golpea rápido pero seguro!
