Poochy Dash

Poochy Dash is a bonus mode in Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World in which the player plays as Poochy in an auto-run style platformer trying to collect as many Beads as possible as he races to the goal. Poochy can jump, stomp, and slide, and he passively plows though enemies and boxes. Performing certain actions in a stage causes beads to appear in fireworks patterns, and these beads automatically fly into Poochy soon after appearing. Most things are unable to harm Poochy. If he crashes into a wall, he bounces back while some of the collected beads scatter. The beads disappear fairly quickly, and Poochy's automatic movement means many of them cannot be retrieved at all. Near collisions with walls in the air allow Poochy to flip over the lip and proceed, though the arc of this flip is fixed and can make Poochy miss items. Meanwhile, the hook of a Hook Guy does the same while knocking Poochy over, though once Poochy rights himself he also gains mercy invincibility. Dropping down a pit restarts the level; there are no checkpoints. The goal appears similarly to the goals that Yoshi's transformations use, with a design of Poochy's face and colors to match his own, though stages terminate even if Poochy runs past the goal.
Each stage also has three Poochy Pups. Once found, they the pups will follow Poochy all the way to the goal. Differing animations play based on the number of Poochy Pups collected, and each Poochy Pup is tied to a 50 Bead firework once the stage is finished. Poochy earns a bronze, silver, gold, or platinum medal based on the beads he has when a stage concludes. There are also missions available after Poochy clears a stage for the first time. There are six stages available in Poochy Dash, one associated with each world. The first one is available at the start, while the others are unlocked after the player clears the fourth course of a world in each world past World 1. There are also bonus time missions available when the Poochy amiibo is scanned in Poochy Hut.
Poochy Dash is accessed from the Poochy Hut on Craft Island. On a World Map, a button on the Touch Screen depicting Poochy and a bone allows the player to warp to the Poochy Hut.

Gold Rush[edit]
If Yoshi gets a Smiley Flower at the goal ring, Poochy Dash gets a one-time Gold Rush mode, where a Gold Lakitu appears and leaves a trail of Beads. The player can easily toggle between modes by tapping the gold cloud in the bottom-right corner of the Touch Screen. The medal in this stage, regardless of amount, is a depiction of Poochy atop a pile of gold Beads. If Gold Rush is available, the quick selection button on World Maps is changed to Poochy having uncovered three gold Beads.
List of Poochy designs[edit]
With the exception of Golden Poochy, Poochy's designs can only be unlocked by completing amiibo missions.
