An old man wages war against trash. One day he accepts defeat and apologizes to Mother Nature. A warm wind surrounds him and gives him 'the power over trash!' Instead of having to pick up trash himself he is able to magically return it to the litterbug. The townspeople are of course frightened and outraged when their refuse becomes permanently stuck to their bodies. Only when they promise to stop littering are they free of the trash. Delightfully fun read with equally silly illustrations. Pen-and-ink and watercolor illustrations. ( )
