Funny. Emalina Twig likes her dresses and gloves long, her hat large and ornate, and her garden freestyle, and she likes to have afternoon tea with a little boy in shorts who looks a bit like Dennis the Menace but is much nicer and is named Woodrow. One afternoon she hears a scary loud rumbly roaring and the two of them have to investigate. All ends well.

Miss Twig loves having tea in the garden with her friend Woodrow. One day she hears a frightening noise that keeps her from returning to her beloved garden. Woodrow offers imaginative possibilities before investigating the situation himself. He finds a 'musically inclined elf' who soon becomes a regular at the daily garden tea. Mix of black and white and full color illustrations with great detail.

An old man wages war against trash. One day he accepts defeat and apologizes to Mother Nature. A warm wind surrounds him and gives him 'the power over trash!' Instead of having to pick up trash himself he is able to magically return it to the litterbug. The townspeople are of course frightened and outraged when their refuse becomes permanently stuck to their bodies. Only when they promise to stop littering are they free of the trash. Delightfully fun read with equally silly illustrations. Pen-and-ink and watercolor illustrations.… (more)
