it was ok
bookshelves: 2024, arcs

I first want to thank NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I thought I had been looking forward to reading this... but it was honestly an eyeroll from the beginning. They kept saying that there was "undeniable chemistry" but was the chemistry even in the room with us? By the end, the couple was cute but it was still cringe and felt forced. The best part was the rounds of trying to declare names for Wendy's triplets. I feel like we lost the plot of finding the necklace for the middle 40% of the book.. and then it was like oh right! And the answer is right here! Let's go on this wild adventure and admit our true feelings and almost die and then live happily ever after!

I wish I could have liked this more. Every time I picked it up to read I didn't want to. By the time I got like 50% in I wanted to DNF so badly but wanted to stick it out. I'm glad I did, the ending wasn't Horrible I just was wildly disappointed in this book.

Marilyn DNF at 52 per cent. I just couldn’t take it anymore. For me, the best part of the book was the cats’ names. Not enough to keep me interested.
