No matter what I say, it will be hard to convey these concepts best felt. That's why I'm going to skip the discussion and urge you to get yourself a copy. It’s best read, experienced, and through it lived. Well, isn’t that what books are for anyway?

I entirely agree with you, jr, this sensuous novel needs to be experienced to feel the depth and radiance of it.
