Do not start this book if you have anything to do: job, eat, sleep, major surgery planned. I ignored emails and housework and sleep, but it was worth it. Lindsey is a personal chef and witnesses a murderer. Jack, the investigator is determined to find the killer, as more and more strange things happen around Lindsey. He falls for her but is concerned she may have mental problems. After he realizes she is being set up, he must race the clock to rescue her before the killer strikes again. I would read this again and again. Her writing is so good and characters well-rounded. Irene Hannon is excellent at descriptions and really keeps the reader wanting more....more

Determined to find the killer, Ethan performs his own investigation and is sure the ghost of his lost friend is haunting him. I did not figure it out until the very end. Good book for any mystery lover. ...more

And so he does. Barnabas joined him on his trip until the very end when Dooley brought Cynthia to meet up with him, and took Barnabas back to the farm so Tim could stay and deal with the medical issues. This was a re-read for me and I will probably reread it again someday. It is a classic/favorite of mine....more
