The Dictionary of Lost Words

This was an interesting book about a young motherless girl whose father is working on the first complete dictionary. She soon discovers that not all words are created equally and can be as different as men are from women. We follow her short life, and see what really mattered in the end.
The book felt a bit disjointed to me, there were some time leaps I felt that didn't jump smoothly, but I think I would have to reread before I could weigh in more heavily on that.
