Lia Louis this book was beyond perfect, seriously adorable. At 16 lonely Emmy released a balloon with her email and a note written on a card tied to it. Lucas on a beach in France finds the balloon and emails Emmie. Remarkably the two are instantly connected, not only are they the same age, but they share a birthday. It is now 14 years later Emmie and Lucas have been each others person for over a decade, but Emmie wants more. It is the night of their combined 30th birthday and Emmie is convinced Lucas is finally going to profess his love. BUT things don’t always go to Plan... what follows is the sweetest story of unrequited love I have ever read.
Emmie Blue is one of the most lovable characters I have ever read about. She is one of those characters that will worm their way into your heart and stay with you long after you have turned the last page. There was even a kind of love triangle and loads of miscommunication in the story. Two things that usually drive me crazy, and still I loved every minute. Katy Sobey narrated the audiobook and did a stellar job. The voice she gave Emmie fit her sweet character perfectly. The story really had all the feels. I was smiling. I was swooning I was bawling like a baby. A heartwarming story packed with character, compassion, and love.

This book was such a FUN read for me... it had a slight vibe of a Sophie Kinsella Book, and that is a huge compliment coming from me.... The characters were all over the top, some of the things that happen were quite ridiculous... but for me it just was delightful and made me laugh out loud.... it is a book that does not take itself too seriously, so to thoroughly enjoy it you have to be in that state of mind...
Lou has just graduated from Columbia university, and she doesn’t quite know what she wants to do with her life yet.... so she moves back in with her parents in LA.... The biggest problem.... Mama Shell The worlds greatest helicopter mother....Mama Shell wants to control everything in Lou’s life her wardrobe, her hair, her boyfriend, her food, her job, etc. etc. etc. so not only does Lou have to sneak carbs... she has a serious boyfriend she has yet to tell her parents about.... The relationship between mother and daughter was complicated yet hilarious... they were two people that love each other so much and yet we’re so different from one another that things went a little sideways.....
This book is told from Lou’s point of view, primarily through journal entries...Lou lives a privilege life and always has, so she might not be relatable to a lot of people.... and even though I grew up in the LA area, I know I was not quite as privileged as Lou, but still her problems were her problems to her..... I mean money cannot buy you a problem free life, the wealthy have their problems as well.... such as which car they’re going to drive to work that day or what vacation house they’re going to vacation in that weekend, you know... problems!😉
The only place this book fell a little short for me was in the relationship between Lou and Theo.... I really could not understand why Theo was OK with her keeping him a secret.... I thought it was pretty obvious that Lou didn’t think he was good enough for her parents, even though she didn’t see it that way.... and who was Theo? In a book filled with such lively colorful characters, we really had no idea who he was other than the fact that he was a skinny chef.... i’d really like a book to follow this up... Theo and his interactions with the family, and then perhaps some flashback scenes as to how they met....
Absolutely recommend if you are in the mood for a fun book that might be a little vapid at times, but it’s all in good humor...

Both narrators did a really good job and I’m happy to see they narrate the rest of the series as well..... ...more

Kyle is Jake (from the first book in the series) little brother.... it's hard to be the little brother to a huge rockstar, but even harder to be a little brother filled with guilt over a tragic event.... I really like Kyle in the first book, but I liked him even more after this book, seen his more private side...Kenzie was equally likable, and together they really worked.... I appreciated the slow build up of the relationship and I enjoyed the time on the island..... however, I would have liked a little more time seeing them together as a couple and more time with Kyle and his family.... looking forward to the next book in the series, can't wait to get to know Emma better...more

Valentine French (got to love that name) is sick of the metro sexual man of New York so she decides to go to rugged Alaska to see what kind of Men they have there.... and of course the first guy she runs across in Alaska is the hot chief of police Logan, every girls perfect guy, nice, helpful, considerate, and so on.... and best of all he does not have a metrosexual bone in his body, is extremely perfect body.... The relationship between Logan and Valentine is sweet, and I loved the setting of Alaska, makes even the cold sound intriguing.... you really can't go wrong when it comes to anything written by, sawyer Bennett..... ...more

Love this girl! She was relentless, she really went for what she wanted, and she was so quirky and cute and super down to earth.... Kyle was a bit of a mystery, and in reading some of the reviews I found out he has been in previous books, and this is good, because throughout this book I was thinking I really wanted more of his backstory; the gritty details.... Kyle and Jane's love story was simple and sweet; and predictable, but I still really enjoyed the book, and would like to see more with them.... i'd love to see pregnant Jane, and I'd love to see Kyle navigating that situation.......more

This was my first book from this author, and I absolutely adored it! Ryan was the perfect guy just the right mix of arrogant and sweet... Tessa was awesome a strong girl with a soft side and a girl after my own heart.... I mean it would be just my luck to meet the man of my dreams, the one time I agree to dress up in my BFF's flight attendant uniform.... so this couple had an instant attraction, that turned into instant hatred, that turned into some pretty hilarious moments..... loved Ryan's family, I loved all the nicknames, they were absolutely hilarious, and I could understand why Tessa fell in love with them as well, really looking forward to some more books from this author, especially Keen's Book......more

I have to say this book really took a turn in a direction I did not see coming entirely... again we are in the erotic modeling world, this time Rook is being painted to match motorcycles, for the Sturgess contract... in this book we are introduced to some even more fabulous characters Spencer and ford... both have passed ties to Ronan that involves secrets and bad blood... I enjoyed Rook's interactions with all the boys, Although I'd have to agree with her, I myself could not date somebody involved with this type of modeling... The end of this book left me with more questions than answers, still need to find out the secret, what ties these guys together? Also was really happy to see that both Spencer and ford have their own books.......more

Allison and Adam meet at a costume party and have an instant attraction to each other, that is until they realize who one another is... Adam is trying to get Allison's father to invest in his company, so getting involved with his daughter probably would not be the best idea... both Adam and Allison have secrets, past indiscretions they don't want one another necessarily to find out, so this keeps them from one another.... Allison and Adams relationship was believable yet predictable, another relationship where if they just communicated with each other they're probably would've been a lot fewer problems... truly the best part of this book we're all the secondary characters, all the characters from the previous book that are all so fun and spontaneous and people you really would love to get to know.... I will definitely be reading the third book in the series with Adams brother Grey and Beth.......more

Ethan and Mia's story is movie perfect... walk of shame after a one night drunken hook up, not a problem, you will never see this guy again, or will you? Of course you will, in the movies and in this book.... your new job, well he is working with you, side-by-side, and he is also your competition.... both Ethan and Mia were very likable, and even though the outcome was predictable, the journey getting there was a lot of fun... all the secondary characters were fabulous as well, even Cookie.... and best of all for me, Mia had fantastic friends, I always love when there are positive female friendships and books, every girl needs a set of fabulous girlfriends.... looking forward to the next book in the Trilogy.......more

Autumn suffers from anxiety, and does not want to share this with her friends... but when she gets locked in the library over the weekend with a boy she doesn't know very well from school she needs to share this with him..... this book even though it did deal with the issue of anxiety, and I think it did a good job with that, it was really quite adorable.... The relationship between autumn and Dax developed at a good realistic pace and the things they found to occupy their time in the library were quite inventive... I liked how autumn handle the situation with Jack, but something I wish that had been touched on more was some of the things that his best friend Dalenn brought up... that might have made this more of a five-star read for me, it didn't quite touch on some of the more serious topics..... ...more

I liked the relationship between Ryan and Jamie, and I thought it developed quite realistically, the struggle of truly excepting who you are sometimes is not easy... but was not Jamie's family's reaction to this the most amazing thing ever! I think we are headed in the right direction as far as acceptance, I definitely see my kids growing up in a completely different world when it comes to sexual orientation then I did, hopefully we will continue on this path... curious to see how the next book in the series plays out......more
