When she is discovered missing from the crash and several bodies are found tied to trees, the team hits high gear in trying to solve these mysteries.
I love seeing where the characters are going in their relationships, and I loved the new twist with a new entity in town. I am enjoying getting more perspective on the Wolfe daughters as they grow up and are seemingly becoming more and more part of the team.
This book captures your attention quickly and keeps you glued right til the end. It remains a fast paced, quick read. You will not want to put the book down. Can't wait for the next book to come out.

Quickly becoming my favorite series, Det Katz does what seemed to be the imossible and has located a possible match to the sister Det Styles lost as a child. When they further investigate the possibilities, they uncover a ring of human trafficking. Det. Katz tries to balance her own inner demons and need for vigilante justice, her relationship with partner, Styles, grows helping her feel and uncover emotions she never knew she was capable of.
I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. The growth in the characters especially Katz is intriguing. I look forward to see where the relationships will take this group of characters and how Katzs' own personal growth will effect her own inner demons.
Highly recommend d the book and series! It is a quick, fast page read that you will struggle to put down. Do yourself a favor and go grab a copy!

The Mirror is book 2 in The Lost Bride TrilogForever my go-to author. I am never disappointed by a Nora Roberts novel and The Mirror is no exception.
The Mirror is book 2 in The Lost Bride Trilogy. It continues to the journey of Sonya, Trey, Cleo and Owen as they discover more about the past 7 lost Brides, the Poole family, as well as themselves. This novel is a typical middle novel where there are many discoveries but no real conclusion to much. It was great to see the forward progression in the story but also lost left to be discovered in how to regain claim over Hester Dobbs.
Overall, a great read. Easy to follow, engaging, and keeps you wanting to know more. I do recommend reading book 1 first as it will set some details up much easier. I recommend this book and series. I cannot wait for the book 3 to come out!

The team is on the hunt to find the gruesome killer of the "iron lady", a local recluse who attempted to poison her abusive husband and son. In doing so, the body tally is climbing and all seem to be connected.
The characters as always are easy to connect with and the addition of the lovable aunt Ettie making an appearance always adds to the familiarity of the characters.
This story is captivating, easy to read and follow. There are several twists that keep you reading making it a realtively quick read! You just can't put it down. Helen Phifer is a phenomenal author and i love all of her books, but the Morgan Brookes series has got to be one of my favorites!
Book could be read alone bu the relationship built with the characters is best started at book 1. Do it! Get them all, you won't regret it!

It has mystery, it has hilarity, it has lovable characters and what more could you ask for. Book 4 of this series continues to follow Riley Thorn and her band of geriatric misfits in another mystery! This time Griffin, the self absorbed ex husband, is needing help and is certain he is trying to be killed. Of course, current love interest, Nick, doesn't want to take the case but they could use the money.
This book is great and a light, fast read. It is easy to fall in love with all of the characters and the hijinx they somehow get themselves into... well its probably beacuse of Mrs. Penny.
Do yourself a favor and pick up this book right away, pick up the whole series so far. You won't be disappointed.

What starts out with a murdered girl found in a farmers field leads into a multi POV narration that adds to the suspense, long list of suspects and a friend with the need to know what happened.
The multi POV very much added to the suspense and led to many twists and turns as information comes out bit by bit from different people. A surprise of me was the addition of a 'ghost' POV from the deceased teenaged girl who is stuck in a limbo with gaps as to what happened. I am not totally sure this was necessary in the book, but for me it didn't take anything away either. The way the book is written has you second guessing who you think the murderer will be and it keeps you turning the pages all night long.
Shari Lapena is one of my most favorite writers and this book was an instant attention grabber. I did not want to put this book down!

As soon as Maria steps foot in the building, she knows there is something wrong and very dark in the walls with an ominous sightings of the blue lady that is reportedly only seen by people prior to something bad happening.
The Girls on Floor 13 is a detective procedural mystery with a supernatural twist. Now, i will admit that the supernatural isn't my usial cup of tea, but i love Helen Phifer so much that I had to give it a try. I love the characters in this series. The Detectives are relatable, and i find their banter wnjoyable. Marias elderly neighbors are just 2 lovely women who are easy to fall in love with as well.
The writing is great. I love Helen's writing style and it is easy to fall into the story. They are quick reads, well paced.
The ending was a bit surprising in this book and left me with some questions for the series.
Overall, i enjoyed this book and would recommend reading it.

Mind Games follows the story of Thea and her family: brother, Rem and Grammie and Lucy, after the murder of her parents. Thea has psychic powers that are powerful from a young age. The story unravels her life and she struggles to balance the powers and an uncanny connection to the murderer, while trying to live life and find love.
The characters in the novel are all so lovable. Grammie is the grandmother we all want. Rem is the little brother that oozes charm, and Thea herself is easy to connect with and feel the emotional roller coaster that she travels throughout the novel. Let's not forget the absolutely adorable and enjoyable Bray, who has to be one of the cutest 4 year olds around and his dreamy father that moves in next door.
The book overall was very enjoyable. There is mystery and suspense, and just never quite sure how the story will unravel. The added psychic element adds a different twist to the story. There is enough Romance to keep with Nora's usual expectations but does not ooze romance. For me, that's a plus!
Overall, i recommend this book!

When Hazels dad passes away and she returns to her small town for his memorial, the tensions and family dynamics are palpable. As the story unfolds, more mysteries and questions come to light as a drought is uncovering long lost secrets that have Hazel second guessing everything she knows about family and her moms disappearance 13 years prior.
Overall, the book has a feel of a slower pace yet somehow has you captivated and sitting on the edge of your seat wanting to know what next! The suspects are a plenty and your opinion changes throughout the book as to who could be the villain. Because of this, i found myself taking the same emotional ride as Hazel. From the shadows, feelings of people in the house, extra noises, lights turning on creepiness to the whole who is responsible has you fully in suspence the whole book.
I have enjoyed several Megan Miranda books and this one is no exception. Definitely a recommended read!
