Gnome for Christmas

The month is getting away from me; it's  hard to believe tomorrow is the last day of April. Yikes! It's a good thing I realized I hadn't made my card for the Dirty Dozen Christmas April - Sketch Your Christmas challenge yet.

I will say this - the past three months when I've shared these cards on Facebook, I have had some grumblers. You know the type. Those who think it's way too early to be making Christmas cards. Hmmmm.... am I going to let that worry me? Not in the least.

Here's the sketch:

Gnome Decorating for the Holidays

I've fallen in love with gnomes and have quite a collections of gnome stamps so I started a year-long series in January featuring gnomes. Each month I've created a gnome card and since this is December, it's the last card in my series. That's not to say I won't make more gnome cards; I'm sure I will. However, this is the end of my There's No Series Like a Gnome Series

I used the Whimsy Gnome for the Holidays stamp set for today's card.

A Stamp for All Seasons - Spring

I decided to have a seasonal series on my blog this year. I am calling it A Stamp for All Seasons. My plan is/was to make a card using the same stamp for the first day of each season. However, as I announced on my blog yesterday, Spring is happening one day late due to another commitment on my blog yesterday, which was the official first day of Spring.

After much pondering, I chose the Stamping Bella Two Gnomes on a Log stamp set. I think this stamp set is really a Christmas'y one, but I think it has potential for other seasons. For instance, for Spring, I'm using it as two gnomes on a little log in the flower garden. And I already have an idea for Summer, if I'm able to pull it off. You'll have to come back to my blog on June 20th to see if I succeed with that idea.

For now, here's my Spring card -
Two Gnomes on a Log in the Flower Garden

Here's the inside of my card:
