It's true! I love salt. I know a lot of people say it's not healthy - but since my blood pressure is always fabulous, I don't fret about it too much.
You might also find it interesting to know that my dad is what they call a "salt user" which means his body uses salt in excess. Therefore his doctor has advised him to eat a lot of salt. Do you suppose I can use that excuse the next time I pick up the salt shaker and shake liberally?
Speaking of salt shaker... this is NOT a good story!
In the Stamp Addicts blog group we like to try new techniques; you know - stretch ourselves creatively speaking. So this month, Darlene suggested we try the Salted Background technique. If you aren't familiar with it, you can find a tutorial on SCS by clicking
here. That being said, don't be fooled into thinking that everyone is capable of doing this technique, because obviously I failed miserably. My first attempt at the salt background turned out MUCH TOO FAINT, so I made another one. My second attempt turned out HORRIBLE - muddled colors, UGLY!!!
Sooooooooo I tried a third time. When it turned out almost as bad as the second one, I decided this just must not be my technique. LOL! So I took my feeble attempt and made a card with it.
I've searched for a challenge to enter it in - you know, something like "UGLIEST CARD OF THE CENTURY" Challenge, but haven't been successful. So I'm just going to post it here on my blog.
I'd like to say this looks better in real life.
It doesn't.(Drats!)
This is the inside of my card:
Darlene, I'm sorry this turned out so bad. I really wanted to succeed. But like you said, this is a TRY a new Technique challenge... and I did TRY!
This is my 31st card for the
100 Cards in 100 Days Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
