History[]

In the A Starless Clan arc[]

River[]

At a Gathering, Tigerstar announces that Cinnamontail has given birth to a litter of kits.

Sky[]

Dovewing watches over Firkit and Whisperkit while Cinnamontail, Bloomkit, and Streamkit recover from greencough. He attends Rowankit's vigil. While Dovewing stays for her son's vigil, Hopwhisker guides Firkit, Whisperkit, and Birchkit to the nursery. Later, Firkit and Whisperkit play under their father Slatefur's watchful eye. When Tigerstar and Berryheart argue in the camp, Firkit, Whisperkit, and Birchkit are too busy playing to notice.

Star[]

"I'm okay."
―Firkit after he tumbles like a pinecone Star, chapter 4
While waiting for Tigerstar and his patrol to return from RiverClan, Firkit and his littermates play in the camp clearing. Firkit stumbles while trying to catch Streamkit's tail, prompting his mother to hurry over to look over her son. Firkit insists he's fine before resuming the chase. Nightheart hears thundering paws rush towards the camp, and he urges Cinnamontail to take the kits back to the nursery. Sunbeam nudges Firkit back to the nursery as Cinnamontail gathers the rest of her kits. Grassheart guards the nursery as RiverClan violently attacks their camp. Nightheart helps Grassheart as Lizardtail and Nightsky struggle to reach the nursery. Firkit and his littermates fiercely protest that they want to help fight. As the fight dwindles in RiverClan's favor, Cinnamontail attempts to escape with her kits out the dirtplace tunnel. However, they are caught by Splashtail, who later orders the kits into the nursery. When ShadowClan protests against following Splashtail's orders, Splashtail threatens to harm Firkit and his littermates in retribution.

In the Changing Skies arc[]

The Elders' Quest[]

He is now a warrior named Firbark. Firbark bids farewell to Birchfeather when he decides to leave ShadowClan for SkyClan to be with Ridgeglow, teasing that she will eventually get tired of him. Tawnypelt notes that there is sadness beneath his tone of mockery.
