"Pilot"[]
On the same day as Nicholas Clark's car accident, this man is brought into the same room on a hospital bed. He begins having trouble breathing, which alarms Nick, but the nurse brushes it off. Soon after, he flatlines and medical staff respond to the alarms. They spend several moments trying to revive him, to no avail. The now recently deceased man is then immediately taken by Dr. Gould to the hospitals basement, the staff aware of what is happening to those who die, since his brain wasn't destroyed. It's assumed that he most likely turned.

Trivia[]
- This character is credited as Old Man in "Pilot".
- Andrew Patrick Ralston, who portrays Dr. Adam Gould, confirmed via Twitter that this older man, along with "hundreds" of other hospital patients who died, were being "secretly stored" in the hospitals basement in an effort to contain the virus and avoid panic.[1]
- The fact that he was ordered taken after sixty seconds of a failed revival suggests that there may be only a short window of time that a person can be revived if their heart stops or they stop breathing before they will reanimate.
