It is a crystal made from the Dark Hearts and serves as a vessel for the revival of the Destruction God. It contains a vast amount of evil energy. It was sealed away by the Heart Spears, but it shattered and flew dispersed across various places due to the failure of the ritual.
~ (Complete) Jamba Heart's description · KIRBY STAR ALLIES THE ORIGINAL ART BOOK, page 157 translated

We have already obtained the vessel that contains our Dark Lord, and he will soon awaken and shower us in compassion! Look! The vessel of our Dark Lord is filling up even as we speak!
~ Hyness in a part of his long rant

Summary

A Jamba Heart is the vessel for Void, they can turn into a new incarnation of him when completed. As there are as many Voids are there are dimensions, it's likely that all of them either have a born incarnation of Void or Jamba Hearts yet to be completed. A previous, evil incarnation of Void in Kirby's universe was long ago vanquished and sealed as a Jamba Heart before Hyness freed it, accidentally scattering the complete Jamba Heart into countless pieces through space. Presumably due to the evil nature of the last incarnation of Void at the time, the Jamba Hearts seen so far were evil and caused havoc such as corrupting others and sending their thoughts into Another Dimension to create new, evil versions of the targets. Hyness sent his forces to collect the scattered Jamba Hearts and remained making a ritual to himself gather literal hatred, obsession, jealousy, and greed for the vessel of the new Void, the incomplete Jamba Heart filling itself just by Hyness feeling those negative things while talking. This ultimately resulted in Void Termina being born, who had so much darkness that his new soul conflicted with the negative energy Hyness used to create him.

After Void Termina was defeated the darkness left him and went into Another Dimension, forming a giant Jamba Heart that swallowed Hyness when he felt into that extra-dimensional road. This resulted in him being trapped inside and corrupted by it, making him exponentially more powerful.

Powers and Stats

Tier: 2-C | 2-C

Key: One Jamba Heart Piece | Complete Jamba Heart

Name: Jamba Heart piece, "dark Jamba Heart piece", Jamba Heart, Void (When dead and gathering energy, he's still considered Void. Though Void can also refer to specific reincarnations, or all of the above) | Jamba Heart, "complete Jamba Heart", "giant Jamba Heart", Void

Origin: Kirby Star Allies

Gender: None

Age: Varies

Classification: Vessel for Void[1][2][3], Dark Heart

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Self-Sustenance (Type 1), Intangibility (Goes inside bosses when influencing them. This is similar to how Dark Matter can do the same when possessing targets, the latter being clouds likely to be naturally intangible; given how the Jamba Hearts' ultimate form resembles said species and precedes it while having similar powers, as well as how the Jamba Hearts produce smoke around themselves, they may be clouds likely to be naturally intangible too), Smoke Manipulation & Inorganic Physiology (Type 1. They produce smoke around themselves and may be clouds, even if not, they're not made of anything organic), Flight, Spaceflight, Absorption (A fairly complete Jamba Heart can have beings placed inside to absorb their energy. A complete one swallowed and trapped Hyness. They travel the cosmos absorbing positive or negative energy to fill themselves and become more complete, its pieces also fuse with each other on contact), Dimensional Travel (Stated that the Jamba Heart from Kirby's universe perhaps may have arrived there travelling through Another Dimension/a road through different dimensions. When the Void Termina shown in the main story mode died annihilated, his darkness left him and regenerated back as a Jamba Heart in Final Dimension, which is deep into Another Dimension. When a Jamba Heart piece attaches with a target, it can carry their spirit into Another Dimension), Corruption, Empathic Manipulation, Morality Manipulation (Can corrupt others on sight, having influenced the inhabitants of multiple planets), Mind Manipulation (Said effects were described as brainwashing), Weather Manipulation (Presumably created a storm), Statistics Amplification (Can permanently make others stronger), Power Bestowal (Permanently gave Meta Knight Duplication and Telekinesis), Soul Manipulation, Creation and Duplication of others (When a Jamba Heart piece attaches with a target, it can carry their spirit into Another Dimension, but it doesn't actually steal their soul, this results in a creature being born there with the same form and apparently the same powers from the target), Resistance to cosmic radiation (Survive fine in space)

Attack Potency: Low Multiverse level (One Jamba Heart piece amped King Dedede to the point of letting him fight Kirby & three Star Allies longer with its influence than what he could on his own, increasing his musculature and making him a few times his size, another heart amped Meta Knight's powers to the point of letting him fight longer with its influence than what he could on his own, giving him the ability to split into four evenly powerful duplicates and telekinetic/energy attacks with which he could harm Kirby; Both of those cases were portrayed as something a "single Jamba Heart alone" can do, indicating they all have a comparable, if not equal power. This being long after Dedede and Meta Knight assisted Bandana Waddle Dee and Kirby in the defeat of a Master Crown-controlled Magolor. A regular Whispy Woods, who himself doesn't remotely have this much power, was amped by the first Jamba Heart piece encountered and became a similar, if less powerful threat, being able to take hits from a Friend Star, a vehicle made by Kirby & three Star Allies), can ignore durability in some ways | Low Multiverse level (The first shown turned into Void Termina. The second amped Hyness to the point where he could fight evenly with Kirby & three more Star Allies after they defeated Void Termina; after putting Hyness in this state, the shattered pieces of said Jamba Heart were completely dismissed, implying all their dark power to have gone into Hyness as the Star Allies knew the Jamba Heart can reassemble and become a notable threat), can ignore durability in some ways

Speed: Massively FTL+ (All pieces of a complete Jamba Heart were suddenly scattered across the galaxy from the far ends of it, the Jamba Heart pieces maneuvering/soaring/flying/having "flew dispersed" towards different planets and moons in the process, specifically aiming for their populations. Repeatedly chased by Kirby & the Star Allies through all the main story of Star Allies, going around Dream Land, Popstar and the rest of the galaxy, outpacing them at comparable speeds until reaching the Divine Terminus; The Star Allies can include the likes of King Dedede, Meta Knight, Bandana Waddle Dee, Gooey, Ribbon and the Three Mage-Sisters; The Jamba Heart pieces should have also kept with they using Warp Stars over Popstar and in outer space in the galaxy, as while the Star Allies always knew where to follow the hearts, they didn't properly reach them until the end) | Massively FTL+ (As before. While in the process of turning into Void Termina, a complete Jamba Heart briefly escaped Kirby & co. and outpaced their Star Allies Sparkler)

Lifting Strength: Unknown

Striking Strength: Unknown

Durability: Low Multiverse level (From their own power. When inside their corrupted victims, Jamba Heart pieces indirectly took hits from Kirby & 3 other Star Allies, ultimately getting violently thrown out of the victims' bodies when defeated, surviving that briefly stunned) | Low Multiverse level

Stamina: Very high

Range: Below Standard Melee Range, far higher with its powers

Standard Equipment: None

Intelligence: Animalistic. It's "in state of mere existence" and yet to gain "true sentience" (as Void Termina). Can tell it needs to absorb energy to fill itself. Maneuvered towards different planets, moons, and beings in them, all seeking to corrupt them. Has basically roared at his opponents before fleeing from them when defeated

Weaknesses: Doesn't fight on its own. Defeating the victim with the Jamba Heart inside kicks it out of it.

Explanations

On the amount of Jamba Heart pieces/Dark Hearts that make a complete Jamba Heart, while unknown, we do know the following:

Therefore, there might be several dozens or even hundreds of Jamba Heart pieces. And there is also this series of factors to consider:

  • The pink hearts/Friend Hearts scattered along with the Jamba Heart pieces at the beginning of Kirby Star Allies came from the Heart Spears (the spears impaling the Jamba Heart) getting shattered into those pink hearts, similar to how the Jamba Heart shattered into heart pieces.
  • The Friend Hearts regrouped by the end of the game and came back to being spears by the end of the story. They were able to do that even though at least Kirby (if not other Star Allies too) got fused with a scattered pink heart, meaning that they don't need all the pieces for it.
  • Later in Heroes in Another Dimension, there were 120 Friend Hearts around that should have come from the spears. Meaning, the Heart Spears previously scattered into at least 120 Friend Hearts at the start of the story, to the point where those getting back together as four spears leave 120 Friend Hearts to spare.
  • Assuming that the Jamba Heart works the same way then it also had at least 120 scattered pieces. However, the assumption only comes out of they having similar powers.
