Summary
Flamberge is one of the Three Mage-Sisters, who are ruthless generals & priestesses in the Jambastion cult and members of it with a high position. Prior to this, when she was a girl, she found herself in a near death situation before a stranger called Hyness appeared and unlocked her natural talent for fire magic, saving her. She would then be adopted as part of his family and incorporated in his crazy belief system, developing their dark arts and combat skills among her “sisters” Francisca & Zan Partizanne, being close with the latter two and holding another kind of interest for Francisca. Their respect for Hyness still preserved when he was overcome by darkness and gave them a poor treatment, they're following Hyness' desire to revive Void Termina to destroy everything. The organization would eventually come to terms with the universe after Hyness was purified, with the Three Mage-Sisters being able to be seen as allies while maintaining their alliance to the dark religion they follow.
Powers and Stats
Tier: 4-A, likely 2-C | 3-C, likely 2-C | 3-C, likely 2-C
Key: In Kirby Star Allies' main story | Repentant Retaliator | Post-Heroes in Another Dimension
Name: Flamberge
Origin: Kirby Star Allies
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown
Classification: One of the Three Mage-Sisters, Blazing General, Bringer of Flame, Hot-blooded red priestess | As before, Repentant Retaliator (The Mage-Sisters had that title during Heroes in Another Dimension, which presumably isn't applicable afterwards) | As the first key, Star Ally
Powers and Abilities:
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Small Size (Type 1. Comparable, if taller than Kirby, whose 20 cm/8 inches tall), Self-Sustenance (Type 1), Non-Physical Interaction (Can affect Void Soul), Toon Force, Elasticity (Can survive being flattened and immediately restore her shape), Regeneration (Low-Mid. Instantly recovers from being impaled by allies or by another Flamberge's Barbecue Party, if mildly harmed by that), Immortality (Type 3), Weapon Mastery, Magic (As a mage with natural talent for fire magic, most of her powers should be magic-based. Although an unknown amount may come from other supernatural means), Flight & Spaceflight, Fire Manipulation (Her fire even works underwater), Summoning (Capable of summoning her blade), Able to enlarge her sword, Duplication of weaponry, Resistance to cosmic radiations (Can survive in space), Morality Manipulation & Empathic Manipulation (Unaffected by the presence of the individual Jamba Heart pieces, being able to pick up and keep them with her. Even after Kirby used an amped Friend Heart on the Mage-Sisters, which was notably done after having them defeated and unconscious, they weren't under the effects of extreme happiness and affection towards Kirby & allies, instead barely collaborating with them), Gravity Manipulation (Survives harmed in her boss fights black holes from Magolor and Marx, which can affect Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede and Bandana Dee, who could survive a black hole that was warping & sucking all the space of the shown battlefield, including stars in the background of it. Displays the same resistance Post-Heroes in Another Dimension when herself playable)
Same as before, Acrobatics (Can easily do flips), Vehicular Mastery, Dimensional Storage (Star Allies collected the Hear Spears into themselves), 4th Wall Awareness (When going into a door using the Friend Star the one in the last place always salutes the audience), Accelerated Development (Through battle and while assisted with at least 1 partner, their power can permanently increase if their bond of friendship/companionship gets stronger/deeper), further Summoning (The Three Mage-Sisters summoned the Warp Star at the end of Heroes in Another Dimension, which doesn't appear for Kirby and allies in the bad ending), Intangibility, Transformation & Transmutation (Can turn into a small ball of energy via Space Jump, any carried item is transformed too), Energy Manipulation (Can help other allies charge Team Attacks to shoot energy), Resurrection (Able to revive others via Revival Spell), Empathic Manipulation & Morality Manipulation (Can turn enemies into allies with Friend Hearts, being able to affect two foes at once with one Friend Heart, and a charged one having changed her and her sisters, who resisted this effects), Healing & Purification (Friend Hearts can be used to heal and purify others. Can "Revive" defeated allies, who are merely unconscious), Cloth Manipulation, Power Bestowal (Turning targets into allies gives them that same power. Can bestow fire powers to others), Creation (Can help other Star Allies create Friend Stars)
Resistance to Transmutation (Any Star Ally can be cooked inside Chef Kawasaki or Cook Kirby's pot together with enemies as they're turned into food, safely coming out briefly dizzy), heat, cold, Fire Manipulation, Ice Manipulation (Unaffected by the temperatures of Blizzno Moon and Star Lavadom. Can survive harmed being hit by fire and ice attacks in the same way that Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee do, who can survive in the same way being hit by a Master Crown-controlled Magolor's own versions of Kirby's Super Abilities, when Kirby could quickly burn a car-sized creature into black goo that was reduced to nothing and freeze & shatter a miniature active volcano. Can survive harmed being hit by fire and ice attacks from Kirby, elements with which he can harm Pyribbit, who baths in molten lava, moistens his throat drinking lava, and fills his stomach eating lava rocks)
As before, Statistics Amplification (Power-Up Hearts, which increase strength, health or speed of all allies at once), Healing (Various food items and health Power-Up Hearts, which heals all vitality), Invulnerability (Invincibility Candy), Summoning (Can summon Helpers by directly throwing Friend Hearts to Copy Essences. Can summon a Dream Friend using the Dream Rod), Homing Attack (Star Allies Sparkler), Resistance to Life Manipulation (Invincible Candy; Other users of it show being invulnerable to being one-shotted by Dethskullks, who "suck the life force out of anyone they touch" & are careful to not use that power on each other. Characters in Ghost form[1] can't absorb a little bit of life from targets using an Invincible Candy), Sound Manipulation (Invincible Candy; Users are invulnerable to attacks from Kirbys using the Bell Copy Ability and characters using the Mike item)
Attack Potency: Multi-Solar System level, likely Low Multiverse level (Fought Kirby & 3-Star Allies as a boss after they defeated Francisca, and a King Dedede and Meta Knight powered by a Jamba Heart piece each. Inferior to Void Termina as her power was used as a small fraction of what it took to revive him) | Galaxy level, likely Low Multiverse level (Received an increase in power and, while teaming up with the retaliators Francisca & Zan Partizanne, they fought Kirby & 3-Star Allies as final bosses after they defeated Corrupt Hyness) | Galaxy level, likely Low Multiverse level (Was purified from her previous state, which should naturally make her maintain her boost in power much like how the augmented King Dedede and Meta Knight remained their power after being purified, in their case them fighting evenly alongside the Star Allies who beat them and Meta Knight keeping the superpowers he was granted when corrupted, and in Flamberge's case she too could fight evenly alongside the Star Allies who beat her, if on side content. While assisted by three fellow Star Allies and on side content, she went to defeat Morpho Knight EX, and can defeat Corrupt Hyness, the retaliators Three Mage-Sisters [at once, including herself], Void Termina, and his stronger incarnations), able to negate durability with Friend Hearts.
Speed: Massively FTL+ (Along the other Three Mage-Sisters, they were sent on a mission to recover the Jamba Heart pieces that scattered throughout the galaxy and bring them to Hyness in the Divine Terminus, which is located at the far ends of the galaxy, and at least Francisca has been able to search for them across a variety of “stars”/planets. The Mage-Sisters were manually and separately doing this through the main story in Star Allies, which has no indication of lasting extended periods of time like a week.[2] Initially fought evenly against Kirby and three random Star Allies on two occasions, the latter group including characters such as Meta Knight, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee, Gooey and Ribbon. As a Repentant Retaliator she fought evenly alongside her “Sisters”, Francisca & Zan Partizanne. Can become a member of the Star Allies, letting her contend evenly with Morpho Knight EX and Void Termina, chase and keep up with the Jamba Heart pieces several times, and maneuver in combat of the Star Allies Sparkler, an improved version of the Warp Star)
Lifting Strength: Multi-Stellar (Can survive harmed Black Holes from Magolor and Marx, which can affect Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee, who could withstand outrunning and outflying near a black hole that quickly rolled the space in the setting shown, including the stars in the background of it, and survive getting suck in it)
Striking Strength: Multi-Solar System level, likely Low Multiverse level (Delivered blows with Kirby and the Star Allies) | Galaxy level, likely Low Multiverse level | Galaxy level, likely Low Multiverse level
Durability: Multi-Solar System level, likely Low Multiverse level (Withstood heavy blows coming from Kirby and the Star Allies) | Galaxy level, likely Low Multiverse level | Galaxy level, likely Low Multiverse level
Stamina: Very high (Comparable to Kirby)
Range: Below Standard Melee Range to Standard Melee Range physically (Around 50 cm), Extended Melee Range by enlarging the size of her sword, Several Meters with projectiles | As before | As before. Interdimensional via Warp Star (The Three Mage-Sisters summoned a Warp Star presumably from the main universe into the Final Dimension in Another Dimension where they were. The vehicle can travel in between the main universe and dimensions in Another Dimension)
Standard Equipment: Her sword | As before | As before. A floaty
- Optional Equipment: None | None | Power-Up Hearts, various food items and Invincibility Candy, Maxim Tomato, Dream Rod, Friend Star and Star Allies Sparkler
- Can Create/Summon: Nothing | Nothing | A Friend Star, could also summon a Warp Star with Francisca & Zan Partizanne
Intelligence: Above Average. A general, warrior, and priestess that is prone to anger, she has a high position in the Jambastion cult, military leading many beings like Jammerjabs, who are soldiers. Proficient in combat, she takes no issue in murder and is competent to use a brutal technique to impale foes and use them as projectiles if hit and fire projectiles at various directions to quickly move at the other side of her foes and do the same at the opposite direction, creating some small confusion. Flamberge has enough combat skills to fight evenly against a Kirby with any Copy Ability & 3 of any Star Ally, like Meta Knight and Dark Meta Knight, who have hundreds of years of experience. She's instructed in the religion she follows better than most of its members, and while the cult is evil and doesn't mind sacrificing the life of its followers if needed to, it at least shows some degree of usability, as it solved an unknown “galactic crisis” in the past, the god they believe on is real, and praying can give its best members superpowers | As before | As before, added to her combat skills how she can fight and defeat any version of Void Termina and Morpho Knight
Weaknesses: Water. She also appears to be hotheaded and impatient.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
Note that there is no distinction between her keys in this section.
- Barbecue Party (バーベキューパーティー)/BBQ Skewer: Aims her sword down as flames envelop it and it extends in size, then she descends, and when it hits the ground, she jumps and descends again, repeating the process up to 4 times; Should she hit no target when reaching the ground she will have a rock impaled in her sword each time, should she reach a target this one will be trapped in her sword, burning while impaled. Flamberge would ultimately throw all the trapped rocks and/or targets as flaming projectiles in different directions towards other targets.
- Fireball Circus (ファイアボール・サーカス): Throws several fireballs at once from the air at different directions, she can then move to the other side of her targets to do the same, making her attack harder to dodge.
- Mega Broiler: Takes out her Mega Broiler and lets it loose, shooting a large stream of frames, and she can move along the blast while shooting.
- Acrobatics: Flamberge can instantly make leaps of around a meter (Technically, she's flying), mobilize by spinning around & back her body mid-air to dodge attacks, and easily & quickly do flips and wacky moves during diverse victory dances, as well as making an immediate flip at the highest reach of a jump.
- Space Jump: A technique most Kirby characters have, Flamberge transforms into a small ball of energy which turns out to be intangible, she uses this power to mobilize herself or regroup with mates faster. Any carried item is transformed too, as proven by other users of Space Jump.[3]
- Friend Heart: Obtained at the end of Heroes in Another Dimension, Flamberge generates a Friend Heart which is then quickly thrown to her objective(s). This can be done an unlimited amount of times as well as repeatedly. Upon contact or near it, the Friend Heart will generate a major change in the empathy of the being(s) affected to the point of making them change their morality towards being friends & allies with Flamberge. The Friend Hearts have also shown to make feel objectives extremely happy, make them have a deep appreciation for the one who used a Friend Heart on them, generate clothes in others, work on robots, heal & purify others, operate without making direct contact to others' bodies as well as affect more than one being at a time. Friend Hearts were also shown either creating or turning small areas they reached into Friend Platforms (Creation or Transmutation), an ability any Star Ally may possess, but no character in Star Allies uses Friend Hearts in this manner or were aware that this happened. The last function the Friend Hearts have is that their sentient targets will immediately be bestowed with the ability the generate and use Friend Hearts with all previously mentioned characteristics.
- Friend Ability: Powers the Star Allies could use in Star Allies, they were bestowed to them due to being reached by a Friend Heart (be it by another ally or off-screen from one of the many that scattered in space, much like it happened to Kirby).
- Friend Action: They all supposedly need 4 allies in total to be done and, gameplay wise, a special platform to be used; This are only Game Mechanics, the narrative seems to indicate the Star Allies Sparkler to have been made by the Star Allies without mentioning said platform, Hyness can use his own version of the Friend Circle without it, even when using 3 woods as his partners, and the Three Mage-Sisters themselves can use a Friend Circle on their own too.
- Friend Circle: The friends form a donut circle by holding each other, then they constantly roll forward while being coordinated enough to make jumps while they advance. They use this to travel faster on stages and power through minor enemies instead of bothering to deal with them with their moves.
- Friend Star: Through their collective power, the friends use energies from their bodies that combine to create a Friend Star, much like how Kirby alone can create a Warp Star, the Friend Star is basically a better version of it. One drives while the others are behind sustained by nothing but the energies generated by the Friend Star, they can change driver mid-use. They can fly around with the vehicle, do spin attacks, and shoot projectiles which can be charged and have different attributes depending on the leading friend's ability (ice, wind, fire, water, electricity, cutting properties or explosives).
- Friend Bridge: The friends hold each other in a line to form a bridge, which they can move up or down. They likely use some form of telekinesis to hold themselves too as energies go around them and they don't reach each other perfectly. They only use this for puzzle solving.
- Friend Train: Using their powers the leading friend gets a train chimney created in their head, while the other friends line up behind. The train continuously runs forward powering through minor enemies, they can jump, travel up walls, across ceilings, and over the surface of the water (it can't jump while on a wall or ceiling).
- Star Allies Sparkler: A Friend Star combined with the 4 Heart Spears, see the section of Optional Equipment for more info.
- Positive Energy Manipulation: Star Allies, especially Kirby, can likely infuse others with positive energy, even as the targets are being fought, and the energies they manipulate while doing Friend Actions and Team Attacks (The white one with colorful stars around, which may trigger with a heart-shaped wave) is specifically something called "positive energy". What exactly positive energy is is a bit vague, but it's related to friendship and companionship, and should be the opposite of "negative energy", which is conformed by hatred, obsession, jealousy, greed, and can be invisible. A series of things show that they can manipulate this energies:
- Kirby's innocent heart began to mix with Void Termina's urge to destroy after defeating his First Core (expelling the crazy Hyness from Void's body is also remarked, and he was presumably manifesting negative energies there, but even without him Void was still born from the total absence of care and composed of dark energy. The happened to the other 2 incarnations of Void Termina shown, without Hyness being initially there in his body). This made Void Termina's Final Core adopt a face like Kirby's, among others more akin to his evil nature.
- When defeating Void, the last incarnation shown, he blows up with energies around his body that are the same as the ones used for the Star Allies' Friend Powers, all while smiling happily and in peace, implying he gathered the positive energy he needed to reincarnate as a good being. Note that Void Termina wasn't indicated to gather positive and negative while already alive, only after the end of his life to reincarnate himself. While it could be speculated that Void Termina still gathers those energies while alive, the fact that he wanders the galaxy until one day being reborn implies it's an over time process, which 4 Star Allies can get done in the time it takes them to defeat "Void Termina, True Destroyer of Worlds" in their non-canon fight. Though they likely got better at using positive energy by then, as the first Void Termina they did fight and defeated did not go down in peace.
- Revival Spell: A technique that, depending on the game, either resurrects dead allies or merely heals them from being defeated & unconscious. Both uses are applied to their users as they are doing the same process over what seems to be the same spell given the same name. Initially appearing in the Team Kirby Clash mini-game, the Kirbys there could approach others Kirbys and revive them when being defeated, which meant falling into the floor with their souls leaving their bodies. On the Team Kirby Clash Deluxe & Super Kirby Clash games the Kirbys there could even obtain items to improve their ability to resurrect others. Before the latter game, in Kirby Star Allies, every playable character became able to "Revive" defeated allies, but these defeated allies don't lose their souls and it's notable how some are still breathing.
- Team Attack: In Star Allies when piggybacking an ally or more, they can briefly charge energy to shoot an energy beam. The more allies charging energy the more powerful the attack will be.
Optional Equipment
Heals all of her health when eaten.
Heal varying amounts of her health.
When collected, Flamberge becomes invincible and faster for a short time, and almost any enemy she touches will be instantly defeated, or at least damaged.
When picked up and used Flamberge summons one of the following Dream Friends to assist her
- Bandana Waddle Dee
- King Dedede
- Meta Knight
- Rick & Kine & Coo
- Marx
- Gooey
- Adeleine & Ribbon
- Dark Meta Knight
- Daroach
- Magolor
- Taranza
- Susie
- Francisca, Flamberge & Zan Partizanne
The Final Weapon in Star Allies, used to take out Void Termina. The Star Allies Sparkler fires projectiles from the tip, fly around quickly and efficiently, and spin counterclockwise to avoid all damage on a relative scale (Sparkler Turn). Kirby canonically took the lead in the center of the Sparkler while his friends rode in the tail. Still, the leader can be rotated to imbue the shots with a different element depending on the leader (the technique is called Rider Switch). The Sparkler can fire different homing projectiles with varying power depending on charge time. An uncharged shot is called the Sparkler Comet, and it fires a star shaped projectile. A charged shot is called the Sparkler Starshot, and it fires a projectile shaped like two intertwining stars. The strongest attack is called Team Star Allies!, which, if everyone who's riding charges together and releases at the same time, fires a giant laser at the opponent. Flamberge uses this item on her own when used in The Ultimate Choice of Star Allies.
Used to increase his statistics. The effects are shared with allies.

Jambastion was visible from space when it landed on Planet Popstar and was a fraction of the planet in size, no other planet had a Jambastion in it, nor can it be assumed that each Mage-Sister was trusted with another Jambastion after they destroyed the one the three commanded together. Their ancient cult has shown to have many Jambastions, but no smaller spaceships
