I am the true God, the embodiment of the wheel of life, the spinner of all Mantra. I hold everything in the palm of my hand. I bestowed the power of Mantra on you, and I unleashed the Gohma upon the world to test you. And you have proved yourself worthy by overcoming these trials.
~ Chakravartin to Asura

Summary

Chakravartin (転輪聖王, Tenrinjōō; Sanskrit: चक्रवर्ति), is the ruler of Naraka and the God of Mantra. They accompanied Asura after his first demise, manifesting as the mysterious Golden Spider and guiding him through his journey. After the fall of Gohma Vlitra, Chakravartin reveals their true colors and possesses Mithra, Asura's daughter.

Chakravartin appointed themselves sheperd of universe, creating planets and bestowing their Mantra upon their denizens in order to enable their development. Such they did on planet Gaea eons ago, leading to the creation of the demigods and the Shinkoku Tastrium civilization. Their plan is to shape heirs worthy of succeeding them as they move towards new worlds, no matter the means nor the amount of innocent lives it would cost. For this reason they created the Gohma and eventually came to aid Asura. Unwilling to forgive the suffering cat upon his family and world, Asura will put everything on the line to exact his last revenge.

Powers and Stats

Tier: At least 6-B | At least 3-B

Key: Golden Spider | True Form

Name: Chakravartin, The Golden Spider

Origin: Asura's Wrath

Gender: Apparently male and also referred to as such, but classified as unknown[1] twice[2]

Age: Unknown (Has lived for time immemorial and is much older than Shinkoku Tastrium, whose development began thanks to Chakravartin at least tens of millions of years ago)

Classification: God, Spinner of Mantra, Embodiment of the Wheel of Life, Ruler of Naraka

Powers and Abilities:

Same as before

Likely the same as base, due to its nature as a puppet

Same as before, save for Large Size and Additional Limbs

  • Limited Reality Warping (His sole presence altered the Event Horizon completely)
  • Martial Arts and Acrobatics (Focuses much more on physical combat and boasts incredible agility)
  • Bodily Weaponry (His hands are as sharp as blades)
  • Further Energy Projection and Weapon Creation (Makes use of circular and vertical waves, explosive spear-shaped constructs and giant energy balls)
  • Explosion and Vibration Manipulation (Can trigger detonations and shockwaves, which can even be sent directly into the opponent's head through physical contact)
  • Likely Electricity Manipulation (Many of his attacks produce white lightning bolts and cracking sounds)
  • Enhanced Teleportation (Can teleport in the midst of battle)
  • Time Stop (Able to freeze time for an instant, usually shifting place to strike an opponent's blind spot or to escape an unfavorable situation, even though the latter isn't infallible)
  • Limited Speed Amplification (Can dash at higher speed than normal for short bursts)[4]

  • Attack Potency: At least Country level, likely much higher (Murdered[3] Olga, who was stated to be stronger[16] than Wyzen) | Multi-Galaxy level (Sliced apart[3] the Karma Fortress with his threads. The potency of his Mantra allows him to create, sustain and power a construct such as his golden statue, which in turn can generate massive celestial objects like a Moon that is bigger than entire galaxies, and whose destruction generated an explosion of cosmic proportions. Chakravartin themselves considers fighting against such thing as a mere trial. His Base Form proved to be on par with Six-Armed Mantra Asura. His Creator form provides a huge boost in strength, to the point that he could overpower Six-Armed Mantra Asura and reduce him to his Base form with nothing more than a finger, forcing him to furtherly increase his power as their battle kept going[4])

Speed: Relativistic+ combat and reactions speed (Stopped Olga a split second before she could kill Mithra) Massively FTL+ (Their idol can fire energy beams that cross cosmic distances in seconds and was telekinetically throwing celestial bodies towards Asura at many light-years away. Their Base and Creator form greatly surpass its potency and could keep up with Asura for the entirety of their battle)

Lifting Strength: At least Class M via Thread Manipulation (Immobilized Olga completely) | Universal (Golden Chakravartin could and hurl a humongous moon, as well as telekinetically pushing many planets and stars. The Mantra potency of Chakravartin's Base and Creator forms surpasses that of its statue)

Striking Strength: Unknown (Doesn't rely on physical might and lacks any display of strength) | Multi-Galaxy level (Bested Six-Armed Mantra Asura in a fistfight and reverted him to Base form with just a finger upon entering their final form)

Durability: Unknown | Multi-Galaxy level (Their Base and Creator form are more durable than the their whole giant statue, and could endure many hits from Six-Armed Mantra and Final Asura)

Stamina: Unknown | Superhuman (Capable of taking several brutal beatings from Asura, only tiring at the final stretch of their fight, which lasted for several phases and ended only when Chakravartin's body was crumbling apart)

Range: Unknown (His threads extended long enough to encase Mithra into a large cocoon) | Standard Melee Range to Several Meters physically depending on his form, Intergalactic with ranged attacks (His golden threads could envelop the Karma Fortress and reach nearby planets. His Golden Statue reaches it by virtue of sheer size and could attack Gaea and Asura despite being millions of light years away. His Base and Creator forms have much greater Mantra potency), Interdimensional with related abilities

Standard Equipment: None | Two staffs in base form, but they don't have any practical application

Intelligence: Genius (Orchestrated the events of Asura’s Wrath thousands of years before the beginning of the story, planting the Gohma in Gaea and setting off the war between them and the Demigods, predicting that everything would have unfolded exactly as it ended up doing. Manipulated Asura as being a sort of friendly, albeit annoying, creature whenever Asura ended up in Naraka. Has profound knowledge of the universe and its mechanisms, having lived since the beginning of reality and embodying the primary form of energy that governs life and death. Rules over Naraka, the underworld-like dimension which exists in opposition to the real world. Has put himself in charge of promoting the development[4] of planets across the universe, or possibly even different realities. Makes use of many different abilities and is the toughest adversary Asura has ever faced)

Weaknesses: Needs an appropriate vessel such as Mithra in order to manifest his original self and exert his true power; however, since they were willing to release her[4] (and even lost her in the end), they might need to possess a vessel only once every set amount of time. Highly arrogant and underestimates his opponents. Involuntarily released Mithra upon sustaining too much damage.

    Notes:

    • The notion about Golden Chakravartin being located at the middle of the Milky Way and attracting it to them contained within the Asura's Wrath: Official Complete Works book refers to unused material and concept art, which don't reflect what is shown in the final version of the game.
    • Some of Chakravartin the Creator's abilities are displayed when the player fails a QTE.
    • Even though it's unclear how much of Chakravartin's inherent powers can be utilized while forced into their Golden Spider form, it's also unknown at what point they assumed their original form for the last time; thus, the first P&A key lists everything Chakravarting is known to having done before Episode 19.
