~ Bad Girl provoking Travis |
Summary
Bad Girl is the 2nd Ranked assassin in the Original No More Heroes. A complete and utter psychopath, she hangs under the basement of a baseball stadium killing clones on a conveyor belt with a baseball bat, viewing it as some sort of job. She gives Travis what he'd later describe as one of his top three hardest fights, overpowering him and almost killing him after what he thought would be a killing blow, though eventually bleeding out.
In Travis Strikes Again, or rather, its Travis Strikes Back, she is revealed to be the daughter of Badman, and that she'd been abused into insanity by his superior once he realized she'd likely have even more potential than him. Badman attacks Travis, seeking to get revenge for her death, but the two are sucked into the Death Drive Mk II Travis was playing with, and decide to use its wish-granting abilities to revive her. They succeed, but one of the Death Balls necessary for the wish turns out to have been a fake, so she is instead revived as a small dog called Bad Dog, until the DLC, where Travis finds the actual Killer Marathon Death Ball, and they manage to revive her in a more successful way, though her and Badman realize they have little in common anymore, and part ways without any words.
Powers and Stats
Tier: 8-C, possibly 8-B | 10-C | At least 7-C. At least 9-A, likely 8-B in the Death Drive Mk-II | High 5-A
Key: NMH1 | Bad Dog | Travis Strikes Again | No More Heroes III
Name: Bad Girl, real name Charlotte Birkin
Origin: No More Heroes
Gender: Female
Age: 23, 25 in No More Heroes 3
Classification: #2 Ranked Assassin
Powers and Abilities:
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery, Statistics Amplification, Fire Manipulation and Vibration Manipulation (Can light her baseball bat on fire to increase damage and cause a shockwave when she hits the ground), Extrasensory Perception and Precognition (There are many examples of normal people in Suda51's games being capable of instinctually sensing or perceiving things they could otherwise not know, with some examples being shown by entire groups or populations of people. Even among assassins of her level, Bad Girl's instincts have been noted to be incredible, putting her far above relatively low tier combatants who are capable of sensing others' bloodlust or presence through their instincts), Instinctive Reaction (Stated to be moving purely on instinct, and to have the same instincts as her father, Badman, but more potential. Is a naturally incredibly skilled fighter despite having no training), Awakened Power and Berserk Mode (Can turn berserk and awaken her hidden power when in near death), Shockwave Manipulation, Limited Resistance to Electricity Manipulation (Survived several near-deadly shocks in a row), Attack Reflection (After batting her clones at an enemy, she can bat them back again if they are reflected towards her), Resistance to Heat Manipulation for her weaponry (Her bat is able to clash with Travis' Beam Katana and can stay aflame for long periods of time with no effect despite being made of wood), Cloning and Summoning with her cloning machine
Enhanced Senses (Is a dog), Small Size (Type 1), Natural Weaponry, Likely Superhuman Speed
Same as No More Heroes 1 minus Cloning and Summoning, plus Size Manipulation (Can seemingly change the size of her iron ball), Empowerment (Via leveling up. Furthermore, the more she kills, the more she does damage, eventually building up enough power for an AOE attack), Air Manipulation (With Prospect), Energy Manipulation (Can create energy constructs around her attacks), Reactive Power Level (Her weapon's power will grow with multiple hits), Teleportation (Can teleport back to her original position when falling into a pit), Electricity Manipulation via Wing Chip, Absorption with Dendrobium Chip (Drains nearby characters’ stamina to fuel an attack), Thread Manipulation via ∞ Justice Chip, Afterimage Creation via F91 Chip, Energy Manipulation via Strike Freedom Chip (Calls a guided laser from an orbiting satellite), Explosion Manipulation via Physalis Chip (Spreads gas that can be lit for an explosion), Double X Chip and Atlas Chip (Throws a sticky bomb), Weapon Creation (Turrets) via Crossbone Chip, Telekinesis via Shining Chip, Time Manipulation via Heavy Chip (Slows down time in an area), Gravity Manipulation via Self Chip (Pulls enemy towards the center of an area), Healing via ∀ Chip (Heals self and allies in an area) and Unicorn Chip (Sucks life from surrounding enemies), Invisibility via Ξ Chip, Forcefield Creation via Destroy Chip, Status Effect Inducement via Psycho Chip (Briefly paralyzes targets while damaging them), Resistance to Extreme Temperatures (Unaffected by the first stage's -20 degrees despite her light clothing. Can walk around the Moon, which reaches temperatures up to 127 C when lit by the sun), Life, Biological, Soul andDarkness Manipulation (Can survive exposure to the demon world's darkness[1], which tears away the lives of man while eating their flesh and consumes their souls[2][3]) and Time Manipulation (Can move normally in Yojohan where time moves backwards)
Avatar Creation (Charlotte's self within the DDMk-II is only a videogame avatar), Resurrection and Time Manipulation (Only within the Death Drive Mk II, Shinobu can load a save file upon death, as it is just a videogame to her. She can save on toilets, then quit and load to resume from that point. Furthermore, she is equipped with two lives she can use to resurrect on the spot), Statistics Reduction and Statistics Amplification (by changing the game's difficulty, which is something that's canonically at her disposal)
Same as TSA minus her Death Glove abilities, plus enhanced Precognition (Can sense danger while in an unresponsive mental state), Resistance to Temperature Manipulation (Faster than Fullface, who need special equipment to not freeze their own faces off when fighting at full speed)
Attack Potency: Building level, possibly City Block level+ (Able to match Travis and managed to overpower and knock him out even when inflicted with a deadly wound. Can kill him with a quick combo of blows if he approaches her while she's pretending to cry) | Below Average Human level (Is as strong as a small dog) | At least Town level (Comparable to TSA Travis and Badman), At least Small Building level, likely City Block level within the Death Drive Mk. II (Comparable to Travis) | Brown Dwarf level (Was able hurt FU on various occasions, but is much weaker than him physically. Comparable to Shinobu Jacobs. Easily killed a Captain Treatment)
Speed: Hypersonic+ combat speed and Subsonic movement speed (Comparable to Travis) | Likely Superhuman (Chihuahuas can reach this level of speed) | Massively Hypersonic+ combat speed, Subsonic movement speed, at least Superhuman, likely Subsonic or far higher within the DDMkII (Comparable to Travis and the other playable Death Drive users) | FTL (Was able to tag FU on multiple occasions. Could easily defeat a Captain Treatment at the beginning of the game, just as fast as Shinobu Jacobs could), Subsonic movement speed
Lifting Strength: Class 50 (Comparable to Travis) | Below Average Human | Class K, At least Class 10, likely Class M within the DDMkII (Comparable to Travis) | At least Class K (Should be much stronger than her Travis Strikes Again self)
Striking Strength: Building level, possibly City Block level+ | Below Average Human level | At least Town level, At least Small Building level, likely City Block level within the DDMkII | Brown Dwarf level
Durability: Building level, possibly City Block level+ | Below Average Human level | At least Town level, At least Small Building level, likely City Block level within the DDMkII | Brown Dwarf level
Stamina: Superhuman, could fight and overpower Travis after being impaled with his beam katana, even higher with Instinctive Reaction (At least equal to Badman, who was able to stand up and fight while unconscious from head trauma) | Unknown | Superhuman, even higher with Instinctive Reaction
Range: Extended Melee Range. Several Meters when batting clones towards Travis and with shockwaves | Below Standard Melee Range | Same as her first key, Tens of Meters with Death Glove | Same as first key
Standard Equipment: Baseball Bat, Alcohol, a lighter | Only her clothes | Baseball Bat, Alcohol, Death Glove, a lighter and a spiked ball | Baseball Bat, Alcohol, a lighter, and likely a spiked ball
- Optional Equipment: A machine that endless creates clones of people in gimp outfits for Bad Girl to murder for fun. In battle, Bad Girl will often bat a clone at her enemy as a ranged attack, which doubles as a summon since he will fight alongside her afterwards, armed with a baton. Note that she only has access to this in her first key.
Intelligence: Above Average. Despite having no formal training, Bad Girl is an incredibly skilled fighter, having given Travis what he described as one of his toughest fights, and quickly and effortlessly rose through the UAA's ranks before fighting him. | Below Average. Only able to bark out a few words and seemingly unintelligent | Above Average. Bad Girl has gotten back her fighting prowess, although she appears to be a bit more childish than before her death.
Standard Tactics: One of the most skilled assassins in No More Heroes 1, Bad Girl fights with an extremely unorthodox style befitting of her unhealthy mental state and complete reliance on her instincts. She makes up for her reckless moves with sheer endurance and long strings of attacks that often end in guard-breaking strikes as well as takedowns where she will ground then batter the opponent without mercy, without allowing them to escape.
Weaknesses: Insane and almost permanently drunk. Prone to crying fits in the middle of battle, though they are often an attempt to bait her opponent into lowering their guard. | A weak dog with no abilities whatsoever | Her abilities exclusive to within the Death Drive are reliant on her being in a videogame, albeit a supernatural one, and thus they cannot be replicated in real life.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Bad Girl smashes her bat downwards.
- Bad Girl raises her bat, ready to counter any incoming attacks with a powerful swing which cleanly breaks through the guard of the attacker.

- Bad Girl rushes forward with a quick elbow strike. This attack is weak but fast.
- If she has access to it, Bad Girl will bat one of her endlessly produced clone gimps at the enemy. They will then get up and fight alongside her. She tends to summon two or three of them in rapid succession if allowed.
- Bad Girl will sometimes lie down to the ground and pretend to cry to bait her enemy into a deadly combo of attacks, although these crying fits are also sometimes genuine.
- To power her attacks even further, Bad Girl will set her bat on fire, inflicting much more damage with her attacks.
