Mario is the titular main antagonist of the MeatCanyon video POV: The Mario Movie.
In the video, he is seen in a movie of the same name as the video's title that a group of people are watching in a movie theater. However, Mario would notice the protagonist on his phone, tweeting about the movie being a dud, which leads to Mario exiting the screen and reprimanding him for complaining against a children's movie. Annoyed by the protagonist's complaints, Mario eats a mushroom to grow in size in order to intimidate him so he can apologize for the complaints.
Appearance[]
Mario's appearance in the video is depicted as a larger, uncanny version of his original video game counterpart, with large ears, a large brown mustache, a larger nose and even having a larger head with prominent, large lips. His red shirt also shows some skin with hair under his sleeves and torso. As he eats the mushroom, his skin enlarges to the point his head becomes more morbid and messed up, his lips also changing to a purple color.
Personality[]
Unlike his video game counterpart, Mario doesn't like complains about his movie, being able to exit the screen and confront anyone who did the complains to frighten and force them to watch the movie. He also gets annoyed when he is disturbed, even to a point where he would silence them by using his fist, killing them in the process.
Biography[]
Mario is first seen inside the movie, pulling down Luigi's pants, but as he was about to pull down his brother's dirty diaper, he notices one of the viewers, the protagonist, tweeting about the movie being a dud. Realizing this, Mario asks the protagonist what he just tweeted as he pushes Luigi away and walks towards the protagonist, exiting the screen in the process. On his way, Mario is noticed by other people who were also watching the movie, admiring him. He thanks them for being fans of his franchise and says his catchphrase, before forcefully turning their heads to focus on watching the movie while dealing with the protagonist.
The protagonist would then complain about the movie's pacing and how rushed it is, which angers Mario, who takes out a mushroom and eats it, growing his size as the viewers are amazed to see the mushroom from the games. He then starts reprimanding the protagonist by asking him why did he went to watch a children's movie and just complain about it all the time, predicting that he would break down Paw Patrol after this movie. The protagonist then mentions that everybody inside the movie theater is in their 30's, annoying Mario again as he attempts to tell him that not everybody is in their 30's, (while also accidentally blurting the r-slur out loud) only to be interrupted by the other viewers who still admire him, which furiously angers Mario once more as he takes another bite on his mushroom, growing to a massive, morbid and intimidating appearance.
With his new size, Mario tells the protagonist to just watch the movie and say that it was everything he wanted of a Mario film, as it is a low stake movie meant to get people to buy Mario's products, which he would force the protagonist to do so. Annoyed by the 42-year old unnamed viewer, Mario gets furious and crushes him with his fist, telling him to shut up. Now knowing that complaining would only make things worse, he finally apologizes, saying that he only wanted to have a nice day watching the movie with his son and that he is glad that he liked it. Pleased by this, Mario walks back to the screen to see Luigi again, telling him that they will go see Donkey Kong. However, the protagonist would tweet a complaint about the movie again, which leads to Mario noticing him and lunging towards him, presumably killing the protagonist.
Trivia[]
- It is unknown what Mario did to the protagonist after lunging at them at the end of the video, though it is possible he may have killed him for not taking his advice.
