~ VibingLeaf's tweet. |
Jugannave,[1] better known by his alias CORPSE is the main antagonist of The Grieving: Re-Take, a remake of the aforementioned "The Amazing World of Gumball" creepypasta created by VibingLeaf.
It is a murderous, enigmatic beast that ended up crossing paths with Gumball, Darwin, and Anais.
Appearance[]
C0RPSE takes the appearance of a massive, muscular wendigo-like creature, with grey and black skin, with a deer skull in place of it's head..
In their unofficial redesign, C0RPSE now has a body surging with fire, a series of spikes jutting out from their shoulders, a maroon skull, and glowing orange eye sockets and mouth.
Personality[]
Before his death, he was a neutral creature who simply attacked in defense and acted by instinct. after being ressurected, C0RPSE is now a mute, emotionless being that wants nothing but destruction.
Biography[]
Background[]
CORPSE used to be a deer named Jugannave, who was owned by an unknown abusive caretaker whom he killed due to his treatment. Some time later, he was adopted by Nicole Watterson, who was much kinder and loving towards him. One fateful day, he was ran over by a car and was killed. Some time later, he was resurrected and turned into a humanoid abomination by Mrs. Jötunheim and he fled into the woods.[2]
The Grieving: Re-Take[]
Before the events of The Grieving Re-Take, Gumball, Darwin, and Anais (and plenty of other children, depending on this tweet's canonicity) were attacked and hunted by C0RPSE whilst on a field trip, Gumball claims he had watched Anais and Darwin be chased by the monster, with Anais being murdered and having her head shoved into a box.
Darwin, stuck in the freezing cold and frostbitten, goes to find Anais, finding her head in the box. It is then, as he stares in disbelief, his head is suddenly impaled by a log, revealing Corpse to have finished off Darwin, Anais, along with possibly several others.
While C0RPSE didn't kill Gumball, it affected Gumball psychologically enough to the point that he had hung himself by the video's ending.
Responding to a comment, VibingLeaf has stated that C0RPSE was eventually killed off by Nicole, most likely to avenge her kids.[3]
Trivia[]
- There was a theory on C0RPSE until its identity was revealed that it was an alternate version of Penny Fitzgerald from the original show, more specifically as an alternate take of "The Shell". It has since been revealed as a former pet of Nicole brought back via necromancy.
- VibingLeaf made a drawing in reference to this theory, drawing C0RPSE but if they were really Penny.[4]
- C0RPSE is original to the Re-Take, as in the original Creepypasta, it was never revealed how Darwin and Anais were murdered.
