SCP-1360[]

Why is SCP-1360 marked as a villain? -- XZippy (talk) 13:33, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Exactly one year later, but I think it is because 1360 was allied to Anderson Robotics and constantly tried to breach containment, and in SCP-3560 he allied with other deceased robots to attack various Foundation sites as revenge for killing him. HipperMario (talk) 06:36, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Notable Villains section[]

Ok, so why should this section be included in the template in the first place other than the legends and the creepypasta templates also have it and it helps newbies get into the characters? HipperMario (talk) 18:45, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Creepypasta and Legends both have it so should SCP.

Just because those two have that section, it doesn't mean the SCP should as well. Yours is not a strong argument. HipperMario (talk) 05:12, 6 May 2022 (UTC)

"Just because those two have that section, it doesn't mean the SCP should as well." So... why? What's your argument then?

That it is unneeded. Notability in the SCP wiki is not defined, and the SCP is not urban or mythological legends. Why don't more templates have the section? This section is confusing, unnecessary and should not be present. HipperMario (talk) 11:37, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
Okay, since the matter has been opened again, I'm gonna bring more arguments here. As I said the SCP genre is not the same as Legends or Creepypasta. The Wiki has connecting storylines with recurring characters, meanwhile the Legends and Creepypasta are one-off stories which do not connect with each other most of the time and most of the time are not set in the same settings (especially with the Legends which encompasses almost all mythological, folkloric and cultural villains which were created independently and have nothing else in common). The SCP Foundation is more akin to the Marvel, DC franchises or Disney and Warner Bros, which from what I last recalled don't have a notable villains section. Moreover, this section included characters which get meme'd upon, and are only notable for the sake of being notable. I'm pretty sure that when readers go to the SCP articles they already know about these guys. This plus the previous arguments I brought up. On a unrelated note, MonkeJoe, you, when talking here should go to Edit Source instead of clicking Add Topic as we're on the same topic and after finishing your wording add in the end of it four of these ~ as that is required when talking on the discussion pages.
