Tedward "Teddy" Lobo is the secondary antagonist of the 2023 film Renfield. He is a gangster and son of the Lobos' head crime lady Bellafrancesca Lobo, as well as a familiar of Count Dracula.
He is portrayed by Ben Schwartz, who also portrayed The Robber in Middleditch and Schwartz, Yasper Lennov in The Afterparty and NomiRandy in Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja.
Personality[]
Teddy is a gangster, with a very care-free attitude and always looking to crack jokes, even in the most troubling of circumstances. Though he tries to seem tough, he falters quickly when confronted, and despite his insistence that he has shot people before, he seems hesitant to actually get his hands dirty. He has shown to be also extremely terrified, to the point where he confessed after being arrested by the cops and a bit of his own mother, but wishes to do what needs to be done in order to prove to her that he has what it takes to take over. He has an eager to please personality towards those stronger than him, and a close bond with the others in his gang. When he meets Dracula, he was both terrified and excited, as the vampire wished to forge an alliance with the Lobos and even more loyal to Dracula than Renfield and could care less if he is now his slave. Following becoming one of Dracula's familiars however, Teddy became extremely overconfident and sure of himself, which was a fatal mistake on his end.

Biography[]
Background[]
Teddy is the eldest son of Belefrancesca Lobo as well as Mandy Lobo older brother and the heir to the Lobo criminal organization. It's strongly hinted that he was involved in the death of Rebecca Quincy's father, but whether directly or indirectly remains inconclusive.
Renfield[]
Teddy was sent to take out several people who stole drugs from his criminal organization, which led him to flee in terror, following his assassin's head flying and hitting the window of his car. Driving to a sobriety checkpoint, manned by a cop named Rebecca and her partner, Teddy attempts to run through it, knowing that the cops would likely search his car that was loaded with drugs. His attempt fails and he attempts to flee on foot with several bricks of cocaine in his possession, which he tosses at the cops, but is hit in the head by Rebecca's baton and apprehended. At the station, Teddy, still terrified from the previous night's events, begins confessing about the murders and even how people stole drugs from the Lobos. Much to Rebecca's dismay however, Teddy is released due to his family's influence over the cops and returns home, overjoyed.
He is then told that his mother wished to speak with him downstairs, which startled him, but complied. His mother explains that the Lobos may not be the wealthiest organization, but it's the most feared and she wants to know if Teddy is willing to get his hands dirty to ensure that what she had built didn't crumble under his leadership. With that, Teddy decides to confront Rebecca at a restaurant while she is investigating the incident from the night prior. Teddy and his boys attempt to get Rebecca to admit that they own her, however she decides against it, calling his bluff on killing her if she refused. He attempts to do so, however is stopped by R.M. Renfield, who began engaging the gangster and his men with the aid of Rebecca. Teddy flees after Renfield stabs him in the neck with a fork and returns home to let his mother know what transpired. As a result, they use their connections to find where Renfield is hiding out, causing Teddy to take a hit squad to the dilapidated charity hospital he was residing.
Once there, Teddy finds piles of bodies, which terrifies him enough for him to call up his mother and make her aware of the situation. His men are then taken out one by one until it's only him left, revealing he was now in the grasp of Count Dracula. At Dracula's demand, Teddy reveals that he's a criminal and that his organization was searching for Renfield, showing him pictures on his phone, which angers the vampire into crushing his phone and knocking the gangster unconscious when he leaves his hideout. Teddy regains consciousness sometime later when Dracula returns and is initially terrified of the vampire. It's then that Dracula inquires if his organization would enjoy the destruction of their foes and taking over the world, which Teddy answers that it would. With Dracula offering an alliance to Teddy, he decides to take him to meet his mother, but not before making him his new familiar.
Teddy returns home, finding Captain Browning having dissolved his partnership with the Lobos, only for Teddy to rip his head off and toss it into his mother's office. Teddy then closes the windows of her office with steel plates and have his men bring Dracula's coffin in, where he introduces them. With that, the alliance between Dracula and the Lobos is forged, resulting in them baiting both Renfield and Rebecca to them, as they captured and beat her sister near-death. Once the pair arrived at the Lobos HQ, Teddy engaged Rebecca initially, but would later be diverted away from her by Renfield. Both familiars engaged in hand to hand combat, with Teddy having the initial advantage over Renfield, however would eventually lose, when Renfield feeds on a bug, empowering him further and kicking his abdomen so hard, so much that his bones broke and his innards are vomited and defecated through his mouth and backside; he dies soon after.
