~ Silver Spoon affirming his desire to win. |
Silver Spoon is a major character of the animated web series Inanimate Insanity. He is an extremely arrogant and manipulative contestant, who has influenced most of the game's conflict.
He serves as a major antagonist of the third season Inanimate Insanity Invitational and a minor character of the second season Inanimate Insanity II.
He is voiced by Justin Chapman, who also voices Knife and Goo in the same series, and Purple Face in Battle for Dream Island.
Appearance[]
He is an anthropomorphic silver spoon with a grayish white shade.
Personality[]
While he is not rich or royal, he acts refined and posh. He is often egotistical and rude to others. He is also intelligent, and has the capacity for strategic judgements. He seems to get incredibly jealous when someone gets more recognition than him.
He also shows attachment to Candle, who he partnered with for the majority of his run time, possibly having a crush on her and being deeply hurt both by her elimination and her refusal to vote for his victory following a scathing rant about his egotism.
He may have an inferiority complex, if his comments and behavior when confronting Candle for the incident mentioned above are anything to go by.
Biography[]
Silver joined the game as a newbie. He was placed on The Thinkers, and for the first few episodes, kept it a bit low key, mostly just complaining and being a stereotypical pampered prince. Things took a turn, however, in Episode 4, where Silver started taking the game more seriously, manipulating the elimination to get OJ out. From this point on, Silver become an extremely cunning, manipulative foe, only truly allying himself with Candle.
As the season went on, Silver partook in, and influenced many of the biggest betrayals. He relied on Candle for advice, all the while working with her to get further and further in the game, taking out all of his biggest rivals, and latching onto whatever the most powerful alliance of the moment was.
It seems his actions may have started to catch up with him as of the most recent episode, however, as his shattering of Nickel and Balloon's friendship caused his sole ally, Candle, to be eliminated, leaving Silver rejected and sad.
In the following episode, we see the aftermath of Candle's elimination, Silver takes a few points from her, and manipulates Yang through the challenge, only revealing his true colors in the end. This may have been a mistake however, as he was ALMOST eliminated, but stayed due to the selfishness of Balloon and Nickel.
In the pre-finale, he forms speeches to gain the approval of the jury, which succeeds, save for Candle, who berates him for misusing his Inner Flame, refusing to vote for his victory. While initially shrugging it off, it hurts him enough that when Candle fights off The Unvitational Committee, he immediately fights and defeats her instead of them when he tries using his Inner Flame. Although, he was likely out of control, as his remorseful reaction afterwards implies.
Quotes[]
