Shojoji is a major antagonist in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. He is a notorious crime lord and the leader of the Mujina bandits. His main objective was to devour and disguise himself as daimyō Ikkyū Madoka in order to convert the Land of Fire into an anarchic state where crime would thrive and run rapid.
In the original Japanese version, he is voiced by Naomi Kusumi, Masanori Takeda when disguised as Tsukiyo, Takayasu Usui when disguised as Kokuri. and Shōto Kashii when disguised as Yamaoka.
In the English dub, he is voiced by Chris Tergliafera, Chris Hackney when disguised as Tsukiyo, Lucien Dodge when disguised as Kokuri, and Michael Sorich when disguised as Yamaoka.
Personality[]
Shojoji is a cruel, selfish, slothful, heartless, and narcissistic psychopath willing to commit absolutely repulsive crimes without the slightest shred of remorse. He has no mercy or compassion not only for innocent people but also for his own henchmen, devouring his own second-in-command Tsukiyo simply to save his reputation and prevent his capture from being made public. In addition, Shojoji is incredibly arrogant, believing himself to be on the same level as Orochimaru and is rather displeased that he was not made into an Extreme: Shinobi Picture Scrolls card like the above-mentioned Orochimaru.
Shojoji is also a cannibalistic sadist, as he does not hide and in fact expresses his love of devouring other people. He was even willing to consume the brains of minors and even children, as he intended to devour both Boruto and Tentō, even expressing that he would like to add condiments to Boruto's brain before devouring it.
Moreover, Shojoji has incredibly deranged motives, as he intended to disguise himself as the daimyō of the Land of Fire in order to plunge the nation into anarchy for apparently no other reason than to satisfy his sadism and love for chaos.
Shojoji is also shown to be a very lazy person as rather than honing his skills or studying new techniques, he prefers to rely on his ability to steal another's person's abilities and deflect his opponents' attacks, an aspect of his character that would lead to his downfall.
When in interrogation, he acted arrogant towards Sai and Ibiki, refusing to answer their questions. However, upon seeing Sasuke Uchiha, Shojoji immediately dropped his arrogant persona and began to politely comply.
Appearance[]
Shojoji is a very large and obese man with green scalp and facial hair, as well as blue eyes. His typical attire consists of a dark suit with a white shirt with several buttons underneath. light-green striped pants, and sandals.
Currently in incarceration, he now wears a dark sleeveless shirt and black pants.

Corpse Clone Technique: Shojoji's most notable ability, this technique enables him to open his mouth wide like a snake and consume the brain of another person. Upon devouring his victim's brain, he immediately obtains not only their memories but also their abilities, as well as the ability to flawlessly change his appearance into that of them. This allows him to effectively disguise himself as his victims and infiltrate various locations.
Wind Release: Shojoji is also able to use Wind Release techniques, as shown in his fight against Boruto when he used Wind Release to deflect Boruto's attacks and even create a sword made solely out of wind.
