Randall Forrester is a minor antagonist in the 2010 action-adventure video game Red Dead Redemption, serving as the main antagonist of the stranger side-mission "American Appetites".
He was voiced by Raymond McAnally.
Biography[]
Randall Forrester is a cannibal serial killer active in Cholla Springs, New Austin. He kidnaps residents of Cholla Springs and devours them near the remote Hanging Rock. The victims fates are not discovered by law enforcement, with the Blackwater Ledger reporting simply that a number of people have gone missing.
In the mission chain "American Appetites", John Marston is asked by relatives of two of the missing - Ralph Anderson and Beryl Parsons - to look for them near Hanging Rock, where they went missing. On both occasions Marston finds nothing but blood, bone and discarded articles of clothing. Beryl's husband remarks that the "cannibals in the hills" are probably responsible.
In the third and final mission of the chain, Marston goes looking for yet another missing person at the request of the victim's wife. This time he runs into Forrester, who is injured on the ground. Forrester claims that a city man, presumably the woman's husband, attacked him and broke his leg before running off and asks Marston to catch him. Marston chases after the man, hogties him and brings him back to Forrester to answer for his assault; however, when he sees Forrester the man reveals that he was defending himself and accuses Forrester of being the cannibal terrorising the area. Forrester does not deny it, advancing on him menacingly while proclaiming "Fella's gotta eat". The player can either kill or hogtie Forrester or do nothing, in which case he will kill and eat the man and the player will lose honour.
