Omokage is the main antagonist of the non-canon film Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge which was an original character made for the film, thus having no connections to the main series at all. He was the former member of the Phantom Troupe who was replaced by Hisoka Morow and the older brother of Retz.
He was voiced by Naohito Fujiki in the Japanese version and by Joe Zieja (who also voiced Kazutora Hanemiya in Tokyo Revengers and Oingo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders) in the English version.

Appearance[]
Omokage is a tall slim man with black eyes and a long white hair. He wears a black robe inspired by gothic fashion along with a pants, and the Spiders' tattoo is located palm of his right hand. There is also a piercing below his mouth.
Personality[]
Omokage has shown superiority complex by treating all other people as "humans". Similarly to Illumi Zoldyck, Omokage also shown love for his younger sister in a twisted way. As for Omokage, he collects eyes of his victims for his sister's hobby with dolls.
Biography[]
Prior to the events of the film, Omokage was the 4th member of the Phantom Troupe and took part in the massacre of the Kurta Clan, until Hisoka supposedly killed him and took over his position. However, he only defeated his puppet clone, and the real Omokage's purpose in joining the Troupe was to make a Soul Dolls of them, therefore eventually leaving the Phantom Troupe.
After the deaths of both Uvogin and Pakunoda, Omokage took Uvo's eyes to create a puppet of him, as much as to the fury of the remaining Troupe members, thus they wanted to hunt him down.
Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge[]
Omokage manipulated one of his dolls by creating a puppet of Pairo, Kurapika's late friend into manipulating him. The puppet then attacked and stole his eyes. Kurapika was taken to a hospital where he would get a vision of Omokage with a Spider tattoo on his right hand.
Later on, Omokage then used a puppet of Uvogin to attack both Gon and Killua despite their presumptions that he was already dead. They stood no chance against the puppet, but was eventually saved by Nobunaga. Omokage was seen on a distance who also summoned puppet versions of the Shadow Beasts and Pakunoda to attack them, until Machi used her Nen Threads to restrain them all, giving Nobunaga the opportunity to defeat them. The two Spiders then left the pair, warning them that they must settle a score with Omokage.
As Retz led Gon and Killua to a mansion, they would later meet a puppet of Illumi, who attacks them while also taunting Killua into manipulating him. Before he could steal his eyes, Gon intervenes and got his eyes stolen instead. Meanwhile, Omokage is seen reclaiming his own eyes from Retz which was also revealed to be a puppet clone of his late sister, which he sacrificed for his dolls. When Gon and his company reaches Omokage, he reveals to them that he purposedly allowed himself to be tracked by them to take their eyes as well. He had also revealed his part in the Kurta Clan massacre albeit didn't possess any of the Scarlet Eyes, as much as to Kurapika's rage.
Omokage then sends the puppet Illumi and Pairo attack them, but were eventually defeated, thus allowing them to retreive the eyes of both Gon and Kurapika. He then sends the puppet copies of the Phantom Troupe members to attack them, however Hisoka then appears to assist them in the fight, thus allowing them to defeat his puppets in a combined effort.
Kurapika then uses his Judgment Chain on Omokage, offering him his survival but at cost of his powers ceased permanently, but he adamantly refuses. Killua then also attempted to kill him on Kurapika's behest, however it was all interrupted when Retz stabbed Omokage from behind, claiming that he had caused enough suffering against her and her friends. The real Troupe members later arrived to defeat the remaining dolls, who allowed them to leave but gave a fair warning that they will settle a score with them once Chrollo's chain is removed. The whole place was suddenly engulfed in flames, but Retz chose to be consumed by the fiery depths along with her brother. She then thanked the two for allowing her to live a "real life" before the entire cathedral burns down.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Puppeteering: A skilled puppeteer since childhood and has had his younger sister as his assistant, he can use his puppeteering skills to create a doll replicas of any person he desires.
- Power Absorption: He can use his Doll Catcher to absorb the powers and abilities of his puppets and even utilizing any Nen abilities they have.
- Nen: Specialization: Omokage can use his Soul Doll to create a puppet replica of any people he has strongly thinking about. The puppet retains the personality, abilities, and memories of the person it's modelled after. Omokage then can use his Soul Call to steal his victim's eyes for his puppets. His last Nen ability is Doll Catcher, which allows him to bestow the abilities and skills of his puppets, although limited up to three dolls.
