The Mutant Robots are monsters used by the Neo-Human Empire Phantom Army in their attacks and antagonists in the 1973 Tokusatsu series Inazuman.
History[]
The first Mutant Robot seen onscreen was Quintuple Banbara, who sent along with a team of Phantom Soldiers to kill two members of the Youth League, an organization dedicated to opposing the Phantom Army. However, as they had the pair cornered, Goro Watari and Gosaku Marume intervened and helped the pair escape. In the process, Goro was knocked into the water by an attack from the Quintuple Banbara and was rescued by the Youth League, who discovered he was a powerful mutant himself.
After Goro became Inazuman and joined the Youth League to stop the Neo-Human Empire, the Quintuple Banbara was tasked with dealing with him so he wouldn't stand in their way. However, Inazuman defeated the Quintuple Banbara and reverted all the damage he had caused.
Later, Water Banbara was sent to abduct a member of the Youth League named Midori, as Emperor Banba hoped to interrogate her to learn the secrets of the Youth League and who their members were. When she refused to comply, Water Banbara revealed he had abducted her parents as well and began torturing them to make Midori confess who the Youth League members were. However, Inazuman suddenly showed up and saved Midori and her parents before destroying Water Banbara.
