The Fog Banbara is a Mutant Robot of the Neo-Human Empire Phantom Army and the main antagonist of episode 14 of the 1973 Tokusatsu series Inazuman.
He is voiced by Yutaka Oyama.
Biography[]
Fog Banbara was in charge of an operation by the Neo-Human Empire to bomb Tokyo with an experimental bomber jet. After Goro Watari went to investigate sightings of a UFO in the area the Neo-Humans were testing the bomber, Fog Banbara concocted a plan to steal the photo Katsumi had taken of it by luring them into a trap. He first had a Neo-Human spy named Arisa pretend to be a reporter who had also taken a photo of the bomber and staged an attack on her so Goro would rescue her. Fog Banbara then sent Phantom Soldiers to destroy the left alone Raijingo, luring Goro away from the cabin they were staying in so Fog Banbara could attack them and give Arisa an opportunity to steal the photo from Katsumi.
After Arisa stole the photo, Goro went after her and discovered she was a Neo-Human. Fog Banbara then attempted to lure Goro into a trap by having Arisa run in a specific direction which, unbeknownst to either of them, contained a minefield. After being saved by Goro and discovering that Fog Banbara had tricked her, Arisa told Goro about the Neo-Human Empire bomber jet that they planned to bomb Tokyo with. Fog Banbara then took off in the jet and attacked them with it before turning to attack Tokyo, only to be pursued by Inazuman in Raijingo. Before Fog Banbara could make it to Tokyo, Inazuman leapt out of Raijingo and destroyed the jet with his Lightning Strike, killing Fog Banbara.
