Get rid of deadweights.
~ Kim Chul

Kim Chul is a minor antagonist in the dark fantasy action web-turned-light novel, manwha and anime series Solo Leveling. He was an A-Rank hunter from Korea and a member of the White Tiger Guild. He is later revived as the shadow "Iron" by Sung Jinwoo seconds after his death in the Red Gate.

He is voiced by Chikahiro Kobayashi in Japanese.

Appearance[]

Kim Chul[]

Kim was a robust Korea man with a noticeable skar on the upper right side of his mouth. He had short gray hair. During the Red Gate Arc, he wore a heavy silver knight armor with white fur around the collar and a helmet with two long horns on his head. He had black eyes.

Iron[]

Personality[]

Despite not being very brilliant, Kim conducts himself as a stern and serious man who prefers not to keep things to lengthy. He sees himself as a man of great pride and power, such as self-proclaiming himself as the "Great Kim Chul". He appears believes his decision to be the best and holds confidence in his leadership, without realizing how terrible they are, as shown by his orders to separate the party of the White Tiger Guild in two, leaving only the strongest hunters by his side and seemingly weakest to the other side. Because of his stupidity and negligence, he could not deduct that he was responsible for the death of his comrades who died at the hands of the Ice Elves (and other magic beasts who were only shown in the manhwa and not the anime). He was blinded by his anger, which led him to blame their death to Jinwoo's team upon seeing them safe in warmth with food, attempting to threaten and kill them before Jinwoo intervened.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Axemanship and Shield Profciency

Trivia[]

  • He apparently makes a cameo back in Episode 3 of Season 1 alongside a few other hunters to find survivors of the Double Dungeon, then Episode 5 where he is seen working out at the gym.
