Biography[]
Wife Insurance[]
Jim is first seen spying on arms dealers with Stan while bragging about how well he did with women. They were both suddenly caught and imprisoned in a cell. As Stan began to lose all hope, Jim used his powers of seduction, singing part of the song "I Need To Know" by Marc Anthony to seduce a female guard, who subsequently set the two men free and made love to Jim. After running out of the prison, he met another female guard whom he seduced with the same song, and to whom he made love, as well. The first female guard, with Stan's annoyed permission, eventually joined them. Offscreen, Jim was said to have seduced even more women.
Jim was seen again later in the episode after he was revealed to be Francine's backup husband. He emerged from the pool and massaged Francine at her request, all while telling Stan that he thought that being her backup husband made him and Stan brothers. Francine told him to give her and Stan some time to talk, and so he went to stretch on the side of the pool, unintentionally showing off his manhood as he did so. After Francine finished her conversation with Stan, she told Jim that they were late for his niece's recital, and so she ran out while Jim left walking on his hands, still unknowingly showing off his private area.
He is again seen on a helicopter with Stan discussing the backup husband ordeal. He told Jim to break stuff off with Francine since he'd broken things off with his backup wife, Meg Penner, the Smith family's dentist. However, Jim refused to do so because he'd fallen in love with Francine. When Stan tries to object to this, Jim then proceeds to kick him off the helicopter, hoping to subject him to a long plunge to his presumed death.
Stan ended up surviving and went back home in a hot-air balloon. As soon as he arrived, he confronted Jim, who was preparing to tell Francine that Stan had died by bringing her a folded American Flag. As soon as he did, the two proceeded to fight, causing them to crash through Stan's window. Inside, Stan saw Francine sitting on the couch and begged for her to aid him, but she had her own problem: Meg with a gun held up to her, all while Stan was being choked by Jim. Stan proceeded to have a conversation while fighting with Jim, while Francine did the same while fighting with Meg. They both apologized for having backup spouses and made up. Stan eventually pulled out a gun, but Jim got it out of his hands. Just before he could shoot Stan, Meg shot Jim in the chest, his body falling to the floor, seemingly dead.
100 A.D.[]
Despite Jim's clearly grievous injuries, he showed up briefly, very much alive, in a cameo among other previously-seen American Dad! characters in 100 A.D. He was one of many characters hoping to hunt down Hayley and her fiancé, Jeff Fischer, for Stan and Francine's offered reward of $50,000.
