Pile Man, or Impact Man as he prefers to be called in the U.S.A., is one of the eight Robot Masters fought in the video game Mega Man 11. He bears the serial number DWN-087.
He is voiced by Masaki Terasoma in Japanese, who also voices Thales in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Hidan and Renga in Naruto, Caribou in One Piece, Moryomaru in Inuyasha, Jackal from Fairy Tail and Monaghan Bakharov from Mobile Suit Gundam. He is voiced by Jesse Merlin in English, who also voices F.A.N.G in Street Fighter V.
Biography[]
Impact Man was first seen in the game's opening cut scene where he is getting his annual maintenance alongside the other seven Robot Masters. Dr. Wily busted his way inside Dr. Light's lab and kidnapped Impact Man and took him back to the Gear Fortress to reprogram him. Following the incident, Impact Man was reprogrammed by the evil doctor, but continued to work on his construction site (under the alias "Impact Man" in the USA). He fought Mega Man twice (the first time in his stage and the second time in Dr. Wily's Gear Fortress), but was defeated (though the latter occurrence may have been just a copy).
After Dr. Wily's evil schemes have been thwarted, Impact Man was reprogrammed back to his original and kind-hearted self. He took a group photo with Mega Man, Roll, Dr. Light, Beat, Rush, Auto, Eddie, and the other seven Robot Masters.
Battle[]
During his boss fight, Impact Man will stomp across the room and create quake tremors that will temporarily stun Mega Man if he is on the ground, similar to Guts Man. He will occasionally lunge across the room. Impact Man will also plant spikes onto the ground. After reaching critical health, Impact Man will use the Power Gear and transform into a massive jackhammer and will attempt to crush Mega Man. Defeating Impact Man will reward Mega Man the Pile Driver weapon. Impact Man's weakness is Acid Barrier (Acid Man's weapon).
Appearance[]
Impact Man was originally designed to perform heavy construction under extreme conditions. He is composed of three combiner robots who each have a different personality. However, Impact Man was reprogrammed by Dr. Wily to help in his quest of world domination. His default form portrays him with black, orange, and yellow as his primary colour scheme. His head and torso are black, his right limbs and the right side of his torso are yellow, and his left limbs and the left side of his torso are orange. His arms end in grey-ish white iron spikes. His head is topped with a grey-ish white iron spike.
Personality[]
Impact Man is always dedicated into his work as a construction robot and is never late. Even after Dr. Wily reprogrammed him, Impact Man still works hard and efficiently alongside his fellow construction robots. The three combiner robots that forms Impact Man are known as the Impact Brothers and each have a different personality:
The eldest and leader of the trio, Kui-ichiro, never fails to drive his point home, and usually takes control when the brothers are combined. The middle robot, Kui-jiro, is terrible at making decisions on his own and will rely on his oldest brother for advice. The youngest, Kui-saburo, often takes great maintenance of Impact Man.
