Fraud is the titular main antagonist of the 2016 Roblox horror game, Identity Fraud, created by Team M0THERBOARD. It is known as the Master of Disguise in-game.

As it's name suggests, it is a hostile entity who steals the identities of it's victims in order to trick them into thinking they are a normal player. At first, Fraud is spotted as a black entity similar to Stan, but once it kills a player, it takes their appearance and behaves like a normal player.

Appearance[]

Fraud is initially a black humanoid figure similar to Stan, with the only difference being that it has no eyes. However, when killing a player, it's appearance changes to the victim it just killed.

Biography[]

Fraud is only usually seen in the first level of the game, Maze 1, but it can follow the player in Maze 2 and Maze 3 as well.

While wandering around the maze, the player can find what seems to be a normal player walking around the maze in a unusual grid-like pattern. Sometimes, it will wave at the player, which is a sign that the "player" in question is not a real player, as the player is not able to do the "/wave" command in the game. If the player makes eye contact with it when it waves, it will start floating towards them in a very high speed, with them also running in a very high speed as well. The only way to outrun him is to handle the speed boost around the maze and hope that you don't get into a dead end, as it's speed will quickly catch the player there.

Eventually, Fraud will stop chasing the player, but will resume it's pursuit almost instantly if it is stared at while it goes away. It is nearly impossible to escape it once it chases you, as it doesn't target any other player in his way, only focusing on the targeted player.

Trivia[]

  • The speed boost the player gets when chased by Fraud can be used to finish the game pretty quickly if they are lucky, which is a technique that can be used for speedrunners.
  • Fraud doesn't appear in the second game of the series, Identity Fraud 2.
