Dr. Namba is a villain in the Pokémon anime. He is a scientist working for Team Rocket and the employer of Butch and Cassidy. He first appears in the original series, and later in Ruby and Sapphire.
He captured the legendary Pokémon Lugia. He also captured Ash and Richi’s Pikachu as well. However, his lab was subsequently destroyed.
He later attempted to capture a Hippowdon so he could study it. Just like Butch his name is always mistaken by everyone much to him screaming his name at them in anger and dismay.
