Dr. Chu Sing Ling is the main antagonist of the Jonny Quest episode "Terror Island".
Appearance[]
He is a bald man who is morbidly obese. He dresses in glasses and a lab coat.
Biography[]
One of his creatures was shown ambushing a younger man when it breaks from its containment, when the man's bullets proved ineffective, he was forced to flee. Later, the crab assaults an armed man, wrecks his weapon and presumably kills him prior to heading to the ocean while several other armed men fruitlessly try to kill it.
Soon, Chu Sing Ling has a photographer sent to a dinner Dr. Quest is attended, so his men can have his picture so they can carry out the kidnapping of Dr. Quest, leaving a death threat at the boat he was at. Dr. Quest was taken to Chu Sing Ling's lab on Moitu Island, where the latter shows him his animal growing experiments and shows him a giant spider that will grow to be as big as its sibling through his bacteria.
When Dr. Quest tells him off on how destructive this bacteria as well as the facts that the bacteria was leaking into the waters and the creatures must be killed before they cause too much damage, Chu Sing Ling threatens to have him killed by his creatures in three hours if he does not aid in these experiments, setting them to be automatically released in that time. When time runs out, Chu Sing Ling was about to leave Dr. Quest to die when Race Bannon makes him release his captive at gunpoint only for Race to be held at gunpoint by a guard. Just then, Jade pistol whips the guard, leading Chu to escape through the window and the guard locking the window. Then Jonny and Hadji break into the room with a bulldozer and kill the creatures with it.
After the heroes begin their escape on it, they get into a gunfight with Chu's men where they get onto a speed boat at Jade's suggestion. In the middle of Chu's pursuit on boat, a giant lizard mutated by the bacteria emerges from the water and chases Chu to a power plant where its contact with electric wires causes the place to blow up and kill them both.
