Carlo is a supporting character later minor antagonist of the 2002 crime third-person shooter Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven and it's 2020 remaster.

Biography[]

Background[]

Carlo was born in Italy sometime around the late 1890s to early 1900s. By the 1920's, he and his family moved to the United States and settled in Lost Heaven, Illinois. He eventually fell into crime and met Ennio Salieri and was one of the founding members of the Salieri Crime Family. Because of this, he became Salieri's personal driver and bodyguard. He would also meet a women who would later become his girlfriend.

Molotov Party[]

On September 23rd, 1930 Paulie Lombardo introduced Carlos to Tommy Angelo, who had been recently been attacked by Louie and Dino.

Omerta[]

After hearing from Sam Trapani that Frank Colletti ratted to the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding Salieri and Morello, Carlos assisted Paulie in trying to locate him. Carlo would then inform Tommy that Frank was at his house alongside multiple FBI agents. He would then attend his fake funeral.

Visiting Rich People[]

On August 31st, 1933, about a week after Frank's presumed death by Tommy, Carlos brought an Italian lockpicker, Salvatore, to Salieri's Bar to assist in breaking into Roberto Ghillioti's household.

Joining Morello[]

Sometime after the robbery of Ghillioti, Carlos was approached by Sergio Morello Jr., who threatened Carlo's mother that he would kill her if he wouldn't obey him. Carlos complied and became a mole within the Salieri Crime Family,

Great Deal[]

On September 22nd, Salieri ordered Carlos to accompany Paulie, Tommy and Sam to meet with William Gates regarding Kentucky alcohol. However, Morello's thugs quickly arrived on the scene after being tipped by Carlos and Gates was injured (killed in the original) so they had to shoot their way out of the parking garage.

Bon Appetit[]

On May 1st, 1935 Sergio and Morello contacted Carlos and told him to stay home and call in sick since they were going to launch an assassination on Salieri at Pepe's Restureant. However, Tommy and Salieri both survived and realized that Carlos was the mole. Tommy drove to Carlo's apartment in Holbrook and barged down his door. Carlos got off of his girlfriend and jumped out the window. He would then try to climb a ladder, only to be shot by Tommy. Carlos begged Tommy to spare him, stating that Morello was going to hurt his ma', only to be stomped on the face by Salieri, caving his head in and killing him.

Afterwards, Sergio informed Morello of Carlos's death, which caused him to kill a dockworker.
