The Bikers are minor antagonists in the 2003 film, The Italian Job. They were escorts of one of the vault trucks hauling the gold that was stolen by Steve so it can be put on a plane and shipped to Mexico.
Biography[]
The Bikers were tasked by Steve Frazelli to escort the vault trucks that were hauling the stolen gold as part of his plan to have it shipped by plane to Mexico City. While the other two were decoys, one of them hauling the gold is Truck 128, which was identified by the Napster. The two trucks then went off in different directions while Truck 128 went straight.
Truck 128 was then lured onto a siding near the TCL Chinese Theatre, to the point that Left Ear was able to blow it up and sent the truck on the ground so they can retrieve the gold. Upon finding out that the truck went down under, Steve orders the biker to go under the subway so he can retrieve the gold. However, he finds the path blocked since the Napster was able to shut down the subway's computer system. Two of the other bikers that were escorting the decoy trucks were then ordered by Steve to go under the subway tracks as well.
After Charlie, Stella, Handsome Rob, and Left Ear escape in the Mini Coopers with the gold inside, the bikers began to follow them through an underground tube within the Los Angeles Basin. Ordered by Steve to stop them before they escape, one of the bikers opened fire on Handsome Rob's white Mini Cooper. However, Rob was able to push off the biker as only one remained, After escaping the tunnels, Rob ordered Left Ear to open his right door, which was able to stop the remaining biker from pursuing them. The trio were able to escape with the gold and Steve's plan was nonetheless foiled.
It can be implied that the bikers mostly survived since the impact didn't actually kill them, although they were either fired or arrested.
Trivia[]
