Big Fat Paulie is a one-time villain from the Family Guy episode "There's Something About Paulie". He is an incredibly obnoxious mobster who nobody likes. He is villainous for ordering a hit on Lois Griffin so that Peter Griffin would spend more time with him.
He is voiced by Michael Chiklis, who also portrayed Vic Mackey in The Shield, Nathaniel Barnes in Gotham, and Dell Toledo in American Horror Story: Freak Show.
Biography[]
In "There's Something About Paulie", after telling the mob to destroy his car so that he could get his deposit back, Pete owed a favor to the Italian mob. The Don told him that his job was to hang out with Big Fat Paulie and take him to the movies. The Don wanted Paulie to feel included he, along with all the other mobsters, found him obnoxious and didn't want to hang out with him, so they forced it on Peter. After making a few mistakes, Peter eventually found the lucky winner and took him to see How Stella Got Her Groove Back: II. When they got into the theater, someone was in Peter's favorite seat, so Paulie shot at the guy and scared him away. After the movie, Peter started to leave to go home and Paulie got offended that he didn't invite him, so he pressured Peter into taking him home for dinner. Lois was very upset with Peter for inviting someone over without asking first. At dinner, Paulie offered Chris a job as a coke distributor, which angered Lois so much that she kicked him out. Outside, Paulie moped about that he didn't have any friends and Peter told him that he liked him and if it wasn't for Lois, he'd still want to hang out with him. Paulie misread this as a sign that Peter wanted him to order a hit on Lois, so he hired his guys to make assassination attempts on her. When Lois found out about this, she was furious and demanded that Peter put a stop to it. Peter went up to Paulie to explain the mistake and Paulie fully understood. He called up his guys to call off the strike but before he could, he was shot dead in a drive by shooting, trapping Lois with the hit.
In "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story", authorities acting on an anonymous tip, searched the marshlands near the Fox land hurricane barrier for the remains of Big Fat Paulie. However, all they found was the movie The Remains of the Day.
In "Coma Guy", Paulie was one of the many deceased people seen in Peter's coma, beckoning him to join him on the boat.
In the The Cleveland Show episode, "Like a Boss", Cleveland Brown mentioned the events of Peter's run-in with Big Fat Paulie in "There's Something About Paulie".
