RC-1262, nicknamed Scorch, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Ciddarin Scaleback) in Star Wars: The Bad Batch. He was a Clone Commando who served in the Grand Army of The Republic during the Clone Wars, serving the commando unit, Delta Squad. During the Empire’s reign, he assisted Dr. Royce Hemlock in his experiments.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • He helped train the first generation of Stormtroopers, holding Scorch accountable for their crimes.
  • He shot Gregor in the chest twice, while he was escaping thanks to the efforts of Clone Force 99.
  • He apprehended Hunter and had him taken to Vice Admiral Rampart on Kamino.
  • He holds no qualms about Dr. Hemlock’s unethical experiments, despite the fact Hemlock was imprisoning and experimenting on several of his own brothers.
  • He rounds up and detains all of the villagers who saw the cloned Zillo Beast, children included. He later implies that they will all be executed to preserve the secrecy of Hemlock’s experiments.
  • He snuck behind and stunned Omega, being the one to carry her back to Hemlock’s shuttle, subsequently taking her to Mount Tantiss to imprison her.
  • He ordered CX-2 to travel to the hidden resistance base on Teth and Assassinate CX-1 to prevent him from being interrogated, leading to CX-2 wiping out most of Rex’s network. After CX-2 informs him Omega was on Teth, Scorch sends a squad to help CX-2 apprehend her.
  • He stopped Jax from escaping the vault and carelessly stunned him. Even Emerie found this to be a bit extreme.
  • When Cad Bane brings in a Force-Sensitive infant named Bayrn for Hemlock, Scorch doesn’t seem to care at all and simply remarked a baby would be “less trouble.”
  • He orders CX-2 to neutralize Clone Force 99 if they get in his way of capturing Omega. Scorch then sends CX-2 An army of TK Troopers to invade Pabu, forcing Omega to surrender herself to the Empire to save the Town.
  • On Hemlock’s orders, he has Clone Force 99’s escape shuttle shot down, but fortunately they managed to survive.
  • He stopped Omega from running off to safety and tries to flee with Hemlock.
  • Even after taking a lethal shot to the chest, Scorch still attempts to fight off Hunter and Crosshair to keep them from getting to Hemlock and Omega, receiving four more rounds until he finally dies.

Why He Doesn’t Stand Out?[]

  • He fails the massive heinous standards of the Star Wars universe, as most of his actions were on Hemlock’s orders.
  • He is genuinely loyal to Dr. Hemlock, as in his final moments, he tried his best to defend him from Hunter and Crosshair but is ultimately gunned down.
  • He may have moral agency issues due to his inhibitor chip, but it’s unconfirmed if Scorch is in control of his actions.
